"your sister's wedding. you want me to go to your sister's wedding with you? youngjae. her wedding. which means your entire family will be there. as in your grandparents, cousins, uncles and everything. and it's in two days? i'm not ready," rambles jaebum as youngjae chuckles softly.
"hyung. it's okay. you've met my parents already and they love you. so there's no reason for you to be nervous about meeting the rest of my family members. i love you and so will they," youngjae plants a kiss on his boyfriend's lips.
jaebum pouts a little but sighs and cracks a little smile. he then cups the younger's face and kisses him slowly. youngjae smiles happily into the kiss. he can't believe he's about to introduce his boyfriend to his family.
he can't wait.

the next two days fly way too quickly to jaebum's liking. one day, youngjae invites him to his sister's wedding, the next, he's standing in front of the suit he bought with youngjae the day before. the latter is taking a shower, totally oblivious to jaebum's internal distress. after a long moment of him just staring at the suit on the bed, jaebum finally grows some balls and proceeds to change into the suit. it's a simple black blazer with black slacks and a white shirt. he doesn't feel uncomfortable once he's done but it's definitely not something he's used to wear that often.
"you look very nice hyung. black is definitely your colour."
jaebum turns around to see youngjae. wrapped in a towel, hair dripping wet as he enters the room. the older male smiles, nervousness decreasing a little bit.
"that doesn't change the fact that i'm about to shit my pants because of how nervous i am but thank you baby," he blurts out, running a hand through his hair.
youngjae laughs as he puts on boxers and then proceeds to get dressed.
"don't be, hyung! they're very nice people. and they will love you, okay?" youngjae assures him once again after he's done getting dressed.
while jaebum's suit is accompanied by a black tie, youngjae has a bow tie fastened around the neck. adorable. the younger takes the older's hands and squeezes them gently with a soft smile, hoping to ease his boyfriend. it seems to work as the latter squeezes his hands back before bringing him close to him to kiss his forehead.
"thank you. i just want to make a good impression."
"and you will so don't worry too much," the younger smiles at him and it makes jaebum calm down instantly.
when they're both ready, the couple head outside to jaebum's car and head to the town hall for the wedding ceremony. when they arrive, youngjae tells the receptionist whose wedding they're attending, an envelope in one hand and jaebum's hand in the other. when they get in front of the room door, a table is there with gifts and other envelopes. youngjae's mother and his sister's mother-in-law are sitting there to welcome the guests. jaebum takes the envelope from youngjae and bows deeply to them as he hands it.
"oh my god, you look so nice youngjae. you look like a grown up in that suit," youngjae's mother exclaims with a warm smile and then she turns to jaebum. "you look very nice, jaebum. thank you so much for coming."
she takes the envelope and puts it on top of the other. jaebum smiles softly, greeting her back.
"who's that?" hyunjoo's mother curiously asks with a small smile.
"oh, this is my future son-in-law, jaebum," heejin replies with a chuckle when the two males turn red. "he's such a nice boy, you'll enjoy his company very much. i mean, look at him. doesn't he look like a gentleman?" she coos, further embarrassing jaebum.
"stop that mom!" youngjae exclaims, cheeks still red.
hyunjoo's mother just laughs and invites them to enter the room. they gladly do so, jaebum greeting the woman as the younger drags him inside.
"sorry about that. you know how my mom is," youngjae chuckles nervously as they sit down in their seats.
"yeah..." jaebum clears his throat.
not too long and the room is filling with guests, some of them from the groom's side and others from the bride's. jaebum tries to ignore the curious glances thrown at him as the ceremony is about to start. hyunjoo enters first and greets the guests with a smile as he walks down the aisle. soon after him, jiseon makes her entrance in a colourful hanbok, smiling widely and glowing with happiness. youngjae looks at his sister with a big smile, so happy for her and his brother-in-law.
"doesn't she look so pretty, hyung?" youngjae asks, unable to tear his eyes away from his precious big sister.
"yeah. she does." jaebum replies with a small smile, finding the admiration in youngjae's eyes adorable.
the ceremony goes well, the newlyweds take pictures with the guests, smiling happily. after that is the traditional meal they share before the reception of the night. youngjae introduces jaebum to his family members who treat the older male so nicely he can hardly believe it but he kind of expected it, seeing how youngjae acts towards the people he cares about. when everyone is acquainted with another, it's time to get ready for the reception. every guest leaves the townhall to go to their hotels or houses in order to get ready.
time to celebrate.
