"He hasn't turned okay you can't hate him for something he doesn't even know about." Rory idly braids her long teal hair and I hand her a hair tie. Not like I need it right now. Well not true I have enough left to put it in a stubby half pony tail. "The things you people have, you have no idea." She squeels.

It's been two weeks since I last saw Landon. I was pulling double duty watching Jackson's back and fighting off the creatures that came from the woods.

More hell hounds, more wraiths, but no more answers.

That's all I've been able to do. No clear conclusion, no solution just kicking creature ass night after night. Which normally is a favorite past time of mine now has just become monotonous. It's like oh man another wraith what ever should I do.

It's getting old.

I've also gotten no sleep. Cole comes with me at night and Jackson comes with me during the day fighting the darkness day in and out with no end in sight.

The only time I've enjoyed is sitting here with Rory. "I just don't get this, how do I live a thousand years without so much as hiccup and in one night become trapped in a town with one of the earths most lethal creatures. How does that even happen?"

She plays with the long luxurious length of her hair making me green with envy. I may still be a little bitter about my hair.

"I can see now! Love this hair tie thingy it's fantastic. My hair always gets in my face. I swear I should cut it." I glare at her. "Sorry... too soon? I like it I don't know why you're being such a big baby about it."

"Sorry it's not my hair... well it's not only my hair; just my head is so clouded with everything. I mean a demon, possibly a high demon, what could it possibly need that they don't already have. And where is it! Seriously! I would love to get this whole thing over with? And then there's Jax, that whole mess."

"It doesn't have to be a mess, just tell him what he is I'm sure he won't go 'man I want to change now and kill you'. From what you've said he seems like a nice guy. I'm sure homicide isn't on his bucket list."

I smile a little. "Yeah I just can't wrap my head around that whole thing." My feelings for Jackson only grew with everyday. He fought like a badass I had to admit even if I was stricken with fear each time afraid he would kill something. "I don't think I'm ready for that kind of pain again."

"Landon isn't Jax that isn't fair."

"No you're right but who's to say Jackson wouldn't do what he did." Was I actually entertaining the idea?

"I don't know but you can't be miserable because some asshole like four hundred years ago dumped you. You need to move on okay. Sing a new song."

The truth of her words stung. Isn't that what I've wanted Landon to do with Elizabeth, get over it? Yet I haven't yet gotten over him leaving me. She grabs my Ipod with her wet hand and I slap it away. "What's with you today, ugh such a grouch?"

"I told you to use the hand towel, Wallace doesn't like water."

"Ugh you with your names, like I have any clue what you're talking about."

I grin wide. "Well that is actually the reason I came here and not just for your amazing relationship advice which is odd seeing as you've never been in one. I have a present for you." I take out the square tablet from my bag. "It's an e reader. It has a special water proof case and an amazing battery life although I will make sure to bring a charger when I visit you in the mornings."

She takes it from me like it's a precious gem. Besides bitching and moaning about Jackson and Landon I've told her all about the books I've read. Apparently in her land they didn't have the delicious abundance we did. I would DIE! "Oh my god! Thank you Lucy." She hugs me tightly.
