For the last couple of months I've done nothing but look through all the spells known to my kind. I was no closer to finding a way to help Jackson than the night he turned.

Eat, Sleep, Read.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I was starting to lose hope. Rory and Cole kept trying to get me to take my mind off it, but I couldn't. I was a desperate hot mess.

The only person unfazed was Sam seeing as he didn't want to murder her a ton. I thought I would be bitter but instead I was happy for them. They seemed to being growing close again.  Rory and Cole were as annoyingly in love as ever.

And me...hated by the one person I loved so much. I did love him and was afraid that I wouldn't be given the chance to tell him.

In the beginning I visited everyday, but lately most days he didn't want to see me...and some days if I were being honest, I didn't want to see him.

He was fighting it I could tell but the fight didn't last long the fury coming back worse than before. I lay on my bed with Rhysand Jr. I'd been spending some quality time getting to know him.

Rory bounced in my room Cole in hand. I waved her in and Cole shut the door behind him. In a sing song voice she says. "Hey whatcha doing?" She flops next to me. "Who ya reading, anything sexy?" She wiggles her teal eyebrows

Cole rolled his eyes clearly jealous.

"No I can't really focus on anything." I put RJ down. "What's going on?" They both shook their head they knew by now that meant any change in Jackson.

Rory slipped on a sad smile "I think we should have a girls night you me and Sam."

Cole pouts obviously having other plans. "But we were-"

"Shh Lucy needs me and besides I will come home right after so you can have your dirty way with me." I put my hands to my ears not wanting to hear any of this and becoming slightly jealous.

"Sam too?" That perked me up. We hadn't talked much since the fight we had but I wanted to talk to her. "She wants to go?"

"Yeah she could use a night out too. Come on its not like Jackson is going anywhere. You can see him, sit by his door, or stare at him through the little window when you get back."

I glare at her. "What do you have in mind?"

"I'm thinking a flashy strip club hours away from here, sound good?"

I think about it for a moment. She was right Jackson wasn't going anywhere and I needed to clear my head. I smile letting the stress of the last few months drip away. "Sure but how about in Ohio and I want to call someone to join us."

"Oh honey I thought I'd never hear from you again." Blake now with blue tips instead of the lime green, sways to the music. We picked up Blake who took us to a male strip club out of town. It was worth the drive to get here.

I was trying to have a good time but my stomach hurt with emotion that I couldn't breathe through. Rory and Blake on the other hand were having the time of their lives. "Where did you find this girl?" Blake shouts over the beat.

"Traveling." A Lake.

I smiled watching them grind to the beat surrounded by strippers. I don't even know where she stopped for singles but damn she was armed for combat. Her light teal curls swishing back and forth to the music and various half naked men sandwiching her and Blake.
