LISANNES POV:

I regretted not leaving my phone in the gym locker. From the moment I stepped into the gym my phone kept buzzing. I didn't even had to check to know it was Harry calling. So when I did check I wasn't surprised to see that I had 15 missed calls en 20 texts from him. The one thing that did surprise me were the 5 missed calls and 3 texts from Louis.

I press call and wait for him to pick up the phone.

"Hello Lou!" I excitedly say as I walk over to the dressing room.

"Why are you all over the internet again Lis?" he asks. His tone is harsh.

"What does it say?" I act as if I have no idea.

"It says that you were yelling out of the window. I thought you two broke up Lis."

"We did. It was a mistake. A drunk mistake. Are you mad or something?" I open my locker and get my bag out of it.

"Yes I'm mad. Mad that you left the party without even saying a simple hello. I searched for you, only to hear from Niall that you left. What were you thinking. Are you changing your thoughts on him?" he was acting as if I did something majorly wrong.

"No. I still think it's better if we're not together. But what does it affect you?" I ask. The door from the changing room was openend and someone enterred. I couldn't see who it was.

"Lis, your happiness affects me okay. I care about you. Well, so I'll see you at the airport then?" he sounded a little bit calmed down.

"No I'm taking another flight. I got my ticket rebooked. It's complicated." I tell him.

"I understand." I could hear him moving stuff on he other side of the line.

"Are you packing?" I ask him.

"Yes. Have you done that allready?" his harsh tone from earlier was completely gone now and it felt safe to talk to him again.

"Well that's kind of a problem you know. All my stuff are at Anne's place. And it's a lot. I can't take it all to New York, but I probably won't be back in London for a while so what should I do with all my stuff?" I ask him, hoping that he might have a solution.

"You know what Lis, I'll bring you your stuff. I'll stop by at your place before heading to Australia. If you're fine with that?" he suggested.

....

Maybe it was because of the hurry, maybe because I wanted to, but I totally forgot about the texts I had received earlier. It wasn't untill New York was already in view when I suddenly remembered. Probably because I saw the big city and thought about him already being there somewhere.

I stared at the screen. A red bulb with the number 26 was lighting up. I took a deep breath before opening the first text he had sent.

*I'm sorry. Can we talk on the plane?*

*Why did you leave? Are you mad?*

*It's okay, I guess. We shouldn't have. I know. But I don't regret it.*

*You know, I know how you think this will go. But you're wrong. I won't just give up on you and move on.*

*Are you even reading your texts?*

The other texts consisted of only a question mark. I sighed. I was hoping on just moving on. But deep inside I knew I also couldn't. But I had to make sure he thought I could.

My arrival, me leaving the plane, finding my driver and getting my bagage all passed in a blur.

I got back to reality when my phone buzzed again. Revealing his name on the screen. I sat up in my seat on the backseat of the car. I stared outside for a while. New York was already my favorite city and I haven't even seen it properly.
