Chapter 25

Kits pov

Day of prom...
I wore a sparkly dark blue dress
And dark blue flats

I curled my hair a little bit and headed out to the school

I came late...
5 minutes late
Whatever...
I walked in and saw Nicole and Austin sitting together...

I could hear them
But barely
"Austin thanks for taking me to prom..." I hear Nicole says
"No problem Nicole..." Austin says
"I got you something too" Austins says
"Hm what?" Nicole says
"Close your eyes..." Austin says
Nicole closest her eyes and Austin kisses her
Nicole kissed back
When they're done Austin turns around and sees me
"I'll be right back" I hear Austin say
He comes towards me
"What are you doing here?" He says rudely
"I thought we were suppose to go together..." I say
"I found somebody better then a low life like you" Austin says pushing me to the floor
Everyone turns around I feel they're eyes on me
I heard murmurs in the crowd
I quickly ran away as fast as I could to somewhere else
The supple closet
Is my nightmare going to come true
I hear a knock on the supply closet
"Kit..." I hear somebody say...
Katie?
He door opens
"I saw what happened you okay?" She asked I nod
You look so pretty...you dressed like the balls we used to have" she says
I looked at her surprised but upset
"You remember?" I asked
"I just got my memory back" katie says
"Listen...I think Nicole just dumped Austin after she saw that. He looked upset. I think he ran behind the school. Talk to him" katie says
I wipe my tears and nod
"Thanks sis..." I say
"No problem sis..." she says
We hug then part ways

Austins pov

"Why did you push her to the ground?!" Nicole says annoyed at me
Why did I push her to the ground...
Her father told me to get revenge on Kit for ruining my life is hurting her
"I can't believe you Austin...I should of known you changes. You were so different in the kingdom. I'm leaving" Nicole says to me leaving

I ran away too
To the back of the school
I started crying
Kit...
She didn't deserve all of this

She probably will hate me
I remember the day when I started hating her guts and it wasn't even her fault Nicole and I broke up

Flashback When Austin and Kit were 15

"Austin and Kit you will be wed next summer. Austin I'm aware you're dating Nicole so I told her you two aren't going to be together any longer" the king says
Kit looked shocked
"What no...please" I begged the king
"End of story" the king says leaving
"This is your fault! What kind of best friend are you?!?" I yelled at Kit
"Austin calm down. I can arrange secret dates for you and Nicole I won't be mad if you see her after we are wed" kit says
I slap her...and she fell
She smiled
"Austin you can hurt me all you want...but I'll never hate you..." she says
"I never wanna marry a weirdo like you. Princess are not. You're a low life spoiled brat" I yelled punching her in the stomach
I continued beating her up and she was bleeding a lot
She had a sword on her and knows how to defend herself
Why didn't she stop me
The guards split us apart
I heard people says she broke her arm,leg and a couple of ribs...

Reality...

I'm the horrible best friend
But if I tell her now
She'll be mad I didn't tell her about getting my memory back
"Austin..." kit says sitting in front of me
I snap out of my thoughts
"Don't cry...I'll heal you get her back..." she says
She takes a tissue from her purse and dabs my eyes dry
(Forgot to mention she has a purse with her lol)

Is she being so nice to me...

I hugged her
"Don't leave me please just don't..." I say
She hugs back hesitantly
"I won't...please stop crying and smile for me..." kit says
And that's the day I started falling in love with my best friend
