I ran up to my room with tears coming down my face
I called Austin
"Hello?" Austin says as he picks up
"Hey Austin! It's me Kit... can you come over here now please?" I asked trying to hide the sadness in my voice
But Austin saw right through my act
"I'll be down there as soon as I can. Please stop crying. " he says
"Pff...I'm not crying. Meet me in the backyard. I'll jump down and you'll catch me. " I say
"Kit! That can kill you. Also I know you're lying. I know you're crying. I know you're upset. I'll be there as soon as I can with a SAFER way down" Austin says hanging up
I sat by my window and waited for him to come
A short time later...
I looked down and saw Austin coming
He called me
I picked up
"You got a rope kit?" He asked
"Umm yeah?" I say
"Is the rope long enough to reach the ground?" He asked
"Yep. " I say
"Get the rope and Throw one end at me" he says
I get the rope from under my bed and threw one end at Austin
He picks it and holds it tight
"Tie it it's something so you can get back up. Climb down when ready. I got you. If you fall ill catch you. Being all the stuff you need but try keeping it light. " he says
"K" I say
I grabbed a purse with my phone and wallet in it. And keys just in case
I heard a knock at the door
"Kit..." I hear...
