"Well I'll let you settle in. If you need me I'll be downstairs. I cough. Awkwardly standing in the middle, of the doorway.
"Okay. Thanks." Niall replies. Not even looking at me.
Pissed off, I turn around and quietly walk downstairs. As soon as I reach the kitchen, I slowly look around letting everything sink in.
"My" kitchen is what lots of dream kitchens look like. Granite countertops, and all the best appliances. With an eating area separate to the kitchen. The granite is a type of black, and the cupboards a shade of white. A small TV on one of the counters, to watch the Food Network, and more. I adore this kitchen, yet it disgust me.
Grabbing a cookie I walk back up to my room. Stopping at Niall's room for a brief second. He sat on his bed, staring at a photo of three girls, and two guys with him. I didn't get a close enough look, before I had to leave so I didn't get caught.
The door that drew so much attention, and held so much pity, and pain stood before me. Calling out my name to brave through it, and enter my threshold. Beyond that door lye blue stairs with stars, and quotes of inspiration leading up to my room. Beyond that was a quaint but huge room, with a window seat, walk-in-closet, and a lovely bathroom.
Reaching my walk in closet I grabbed a bikini, sunglasses, a cover up, and flip flops. Getting dressed, was a hard task at times. When my scars showed, and my confidence drained. The scars that held so much destress, and cruelty seemed as if they were glowing, as I got my bathing suit on, and my hair in a mermaid braid. As my breathing quickened, and I felt myself slipping away. I quickly finished, putting everything on and rushed outside. Falling on my hands, and knees as I hit the grass.
"In and out." I soothed to myself. Stopping myself, from having another panic attack.
Getting up slowly, I close my eyes letting the sun soak into my skin. The bright rays bringing joy to my face. What a precious day it was. A day that could bring joy, to such a shattered heart, was always a precious day.
I decided I would start with yoga, and meditating, and then I would swim. Needing a good relaxation, after my eventful day so far.
After stretching for a bit, I already have a tan coming on, and seat dripping down my forhead. So I take off my sunglasses, and place them by my flip flops, and cover up. Before jumping into the pool, to sink to the bottom and just sit there, until I need to rise up to the surface for air.
At first swimming was fun, but soon enough it felt a task. Once I couldn't take swimming any longer, I started to just sit at the bottom of the pool and think. Being able to sit there longer, and longer each time.
It wasn't until Niall came down, with the phone in his hand. That I got out of the pool.
"Hello?" I greet, to whoever's on the other end of the phone. All too aware that Niall is standing beside me, and a few of my scars are showing.
