We had a fun first day at the beach house, and evening was approaching. Pink and blue streaked the sky like an unfinished painting. Harry and Kirsten had gone off to a wooded area near the house to collect fire wood. Louis and I had retired to the sandy beach that had begun to cool down from the hot sun, we laid on the sand together; his arm supporting my neck and my head on his chest. Dusk had settled over the horizon and we admired the ocean he played with strands of my hair, twisting it between his fingers. I heard Becca and Zayn in the kitchen clamoring about.

Meanwhile in the kitchen:

"Zaaayyyynn, give me the botttle," Becca slur laughed as she wrestled with ihs hands for the bottle.

"No Bec," he laughed as he tried to twist the bottle from her death grip. "You've had enough to drink." Becca used her legs to gently push him away from the bottle as she held it and pulled with all her might.

"Nuh huh, I don't even have to peeeee." She whined as she wrapped her legs around his mid section. In an instant, Zayn's eyes went dark and he locked eyes with her. Becca felt the sudden shift and her goofy smile disappeared. In a second, Becca had her lips pressed to his and his hair in her fists. Zayn slid her closer to him and brought her so their stomachs were touching. Zayn opened his eyes and saw Becca's intense stare into his eyes. She pulled her lips away from his and grabbed his tshirt by the hem and whipped it over his head as they held their stare. As soon as his shirt was off he reached for her again and pulled her off the counter so he held her like a child. He kissed her neck as she craned her head to the side and brought her fingers up his smooth olive skin.

Meanwhile on the road

"God, Harry, are we ever going to get back to the house?" Kirsten complained as she shifted the bundle of sticks she was carrying quite awkwardly.

"Yeah yeah, just calm down," Harry said stopping, he scratched his head and glanced to the left and the right trying to orient himself.

"Oh! There it is! Thank God, let's go" Kirsten shouted as she took off. She waddle ran over to the house and pushed open the door.

"Ahhhaugh!" Harry head a scream come from inside. He dropped his sticks along the road and sprinted on the balls of his feet to the house.

The screen door flew backwards and hit the bookcase as Harry flew in.

"My god mate, no warning? Just show up" Zayn said slightly exasperatedly as he tied the strings to his khaki board shorts. Becca had her arms over her chest as she scowled at Kirsten and Harry. She reclined against the cupboards with her feet tucked beneath her on the counter.

"Uh," Kirsten faltered.

"What on earth is taking . . ." Louis voice faded out as he read the tensions in the room. I followed closely, behind him, and peeked around his shoulder. Becca and Zayn were in the kitchen with slightly angry expressions and Kirsten had gone behind Harry hiding her face from Becca's icy look.

"What did we miss?" I squeaked from behind Louis using him as a human shield.

"I think," Harry paused pressing his fingers to his lips in thought, "I think Kirsten walked in on them." He didn't finish his sentence, he didn't have to we all know what he meant. Louis turned to me and I glanced at him in surprise, he gave me a cute little smile and patted my shoulder. He then turned on his heel and sauntered by a still salty Zayn towards the opposite counter. He picked up the platter of lunch meat and cheese, which had begun to slightly melt, and carried it with both hands, proudly, past Becca, Zayn and I. All of our eyes followed him to the table where he set the plate down daintily and yanked out a chair.

"Um Louis," I started hesitantly, unsure exactly what I was saying. Louis held up his pointer finger to me.

"Nothing food can't fix," he beamed as if he had discovered the cure for cancer. Zayn let out a breath/laugh that sounded like he had been holding it in. He ran his hand through his hair aggressively letting out a slow breath before holding his arm out to Becca, inviting her to join his at dinner. Becca let out a little huff and Kirsten scampered from behind Harry over to a chair opposite Becca. I sat next to Louis and Zayn went to Becca leaving one open seat for Harry to go next to Kirsten.

The night had descended and the air was calm and sweet. The heat had subsided and a cool beachy breeze surrounded the house. I had a plate of marshmallows in my hand and chocolate in my other as I negotiated the dark kitchen. I saw the fire dancing against the walls of the house as I descended the steps.

"Ah 'smores!" Harry smiled thrusting himself up from his reclined position and greedily grabbing a marshmallow.
