Annika sat next to Leo as he worked on his latest gizmo; a robot rabbit. She drummed her fingers on his worktable, looking over his tools and machines with bored eyes.
"Can you hand me a monkey wrench?" Leo asked as he twisted a gear on his little invention. Slowly, Annika reached across the table and grabbed a monkey wrench, handing it to him. "Thanks."
He went back to work, humming quietly to himself. Annika sighed and her gaze drifted over to her drum set. She smiled and pulled a pair of drumsticks out of her back pocket. Walking over to the drum set, she sat down and tapped out a little beat. Leo lifted his head from his work, the tip of his tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth. Grinning, Annika let loose and slammed her drumsticks down onto the kit. Jamming to some invisible music, she banged on those drums, sweat glistening on her bare arms.
After several minutes of drumming, Leo found he couldn't concentrate on his work and glared over at Annika.
"Annika!" he shouted over the drum set. She paused and turned to look at him. "You're distracting me," he muttered. Annika just laughed.
