"THEY WHAT?????" Ronnie yelled out while we were sitting in a restaurant. I had told her about Kim's and Marshall's 'incident' and now I had to shush her because almost every guest had turned his head and looked at us.
"Can you keep it a little more quiet, please?"
"You kidding, right?! How the hell can you even be this calm?" She now whisper-yelled at me and I shrugged my shoulders. "Oh my.... don't tell me you forgave them...." I looked at her while chewing on my lower lip and she pinched my arm.
"Are you insane?" I asked her wide eyed while I rubbed with my hand over the spot where she had pinched me and as an answer she did it again. "Ouch....stop it!" I demanded and she glared at me.
"How many times will you go on forgiving him, hm? What's next, he'll nail another bitch, are you forgiving him that too?!" I knew they were all rhetorical questions and so I kept quiet. "Bestie I know you love him, though I'm starting to wonder why. But seriously, how much more will you forgive him till you say it's enough? Tina I'm not gonna stand by and watch him destroy you, 'cause that's exactly what will happen."
"No it's not." I told her calmly and she grabbed my hand which was laying on the table and squeezed it.
"It will happen, maybe not now but sooner or later it will if he keeps making one mistake after another. I know you, you'll forgive him almost everything, just remember what he did last time you took his sorry ass back and now this? Tina sooner or later your forgiveness will eat you alive and you'll break down. I won't watch it, I won't wait for that, because you wouldn't do it if the tables were turned and it was me we're talking about."
"I know he won't screw it up again." I told her quietly and she huffed out.
"No, you hope!" She stated and I pressed my lips together and again shrugged my shoulders. "Tina, that's exactly what happened with Edi, it's....."
"Hold up!" I cutted her off immediately. "You really can't compare Marshall to my psycho ex. Edi had beaten me, locked me up, threatened my life, cheated on me, the list is endless. Marshall is far from being like him."
"Really?" She argued back with a sarcastic tone. "Wasn't he the one who pushed you that you crashed into chairs and had bruises all over your back?!Wasn't he the one who chose another bitch over you?! Wasn't he the one who went on a jealous freak out because you were just sitting on a table with other dudes?! And now he kissed his ex..... Tina I'm sorry, he might not be as brutal and psychotic as Edi, but he's not a saint and definitely not someone who deserves you!"

Damn, that hurts.....

"Tina you're my best friend and no matter what I've went through, I know it's not even close to what happened to you. I'm begging you stop forgiving him. I'm not saying you should just pack up and leave him, but don't let him off the hook too easy if he's screwing up." She was talking to me with a soft voice and I knew she only meant it well.
"I know you're right." I agreed and ruffled shortly through my hair. "But he's really sorry, you should've seen him."
"I don't doubt that he's sorry and definitely not that he loves you. I've seen how he looks at you and how he's acting around you, but that doesn't mean you've to forgive him every damn mistake."
"I know..." I sighed out and stopped when the waiter brought our food.
"And Kim will so gonna get it from me, just so you know!" Ronnie changed the subject from Marshall to Kim and I chuckled.
"They both are really sorry. I don't know how many times they've apologized."
"I don't care!" Ronnie stated and I tilted my head lightly aside and looked at her. "Don't gimme that look. She's our friend. You don't go after your friends man, let it be her ex or not!" I shook my head and laughed out.
"Then I'm as terrible as she is." I stated and Ronnie squinted her eyes and looked at me.
"That's not the same. She basically pushed you into his arms. If she still had feelings for him, she shouldn't have got you two to date in the first place and better fight for him."
"They don't have feelings for each other anymore, well romantic ones." I argued back and Ronnie took a sip from her wine and raised one eyebrow.
"Right and that's why they kissed."
"Ronnie, they made a mistake and I decided to forgive them. I love you for caring about me that much, but please, can we leave it now?!" Honestly I was exhausted, this whole day had drained me and now Ronnie was just going on.
"Okay. 2 more things and I'll leave it...." she said sincerely and I nodded. "First. You really believe what they've told you? And don't lie to me." I nodded before I answered her.
"I truly believe them. I wouldn't have forgiven them if I had the tiniest doubt."
"Okay....second....." she waited a second and grabbed my hand again. "Promise me, give me your word, that next time he'll make a mistake you'll give him hell." I squeezed her hand in mine back and smiled at her.
"I give you my word!" She smiled at me and released my hand so we could continue to eat.
"Good. Change of topic, you wanna go shopping tomorrow?" She asked and with that we started planing the next day.
