Locked up

The flight back home was exhausting as hell. While I'd tried to sleep or read a book, Marshall was sitting with the others and was talking or just scribbling words on his notepad. I still hadn't asked him about the stalker,I wanted to wait till we were alone and back in our home.

We were brought straight home from Detroit airport and while Marshall, as always, got slightly pissed because of the traffic, I had planned how I would address the problem in the best way.

Straight out..... like ripping off a band aid!

When we fiiiiiiiiiiiinally had stepped into the house and I had thanked our bodyguards, I went into the living room, where my fiancée was already sprawled out on the couch.
"Are you tired, babe?" I asked him compassionately while I wanted to walk past him to sit down. But he grabbed my wrist, pulled me down to sit between his legs and sat up straight to press a kiss on my shoulder.
"Not that much. You?" He asked and I turned my head and shook it while I let my nails scratch softly over his forearm.
"I need to talk to you about something." I opened the conversation and he nodded and waited for me to continue. "Why didn't you tell me about the letters and that I obviously have a stalker?" He widened his eyes in slight shock and in-and exhaled deeply before he spoke.
"Who told ya?" I only shook my head once to show him that I wouldn't snitch and he huffed out. "How long you know 'bout it?"

This is not your quiz. I want answers!!!!

"It doesn't matter, Marshall. What matters is that everyone else seems to know, only I was left in the dark." I answered him and he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close.
"I didn't want to scare you Tina. I just wanna protect you from everything, you know and right now it feels like I totally suck at that. I wanted to tell you when we know who that motherfucker is and had dealed with the problem." He admitted and I turned my body and pulled my legs up beside me.
"Marshall, it honors you that you want to keep everything away from me. But I should know about something big like this, I am not a child. Believe me I can deal with it..." he cutted me off with a soft kiss and leaned his forehead against mine afterwards.
"I know you can...." he whispered with closed eyes and I placed my hands right and left on his neck, pulled my head lightly back and waited till he'd open his eyes again.
"You don't suck at protecting me." I assured him when he looked at me again. "Tell me what you need me to do so I can help." He took a deep breath and again leaned forward and kissed me.
"I want you to stay at home and if you really have to go outside, then only with me and a security detail." He answered kind of apologetic and I nodded. I knew he felt bad that he had to literally lock me up, but I would do anything to make sure that he had some kind of peace, until we knew who we were dealing with.
"I should've never kissed you at that damn festival..." he said quietly and I tilted my head lightly aside.

Now he's starting again to think everything is his fault......

"Marshall...." I tried to cut him off but it was useless when he shook his head.
"Don't..... it's my damn fault. If I'd have kept you a secret, all that shit wouldn't happen. But my damn selfish ass had to drag you into the papers..."
"Because you love me and wanted everyone to see that you're happy." I argued back softly and he huffed out.
"And look where that got us!" He stated bitterly and I got on my knees, pushed him back into the cushions and layed on top of him.
"I don't want to hear that it's your fault, okay?" I told him softly but with a warning undertone. "I love you and I'm proud and happy to be your fiancé and that you wanted to show the world that I'm the woman you love. Don't you dare to picture all that out as being bad!" He inhaled deeply through his nose and stared at me with his captivating eyes before he shook his head once and exhaled.
"God I love you so damn much...." he sighed out and I smiled while my heart fluttered in my chest. "What have I done to deserve you?"
"Something reeeeeeeal good!" I answered him jokingly and he closed his eyes while a smile tugged on the corner of his mouth. "Look at me..." I demanded with a soft voice "let me see your beautiful eyes." He did as I told him while he showed me one of those very rare, shy, smiles of his.
