To love somebody....

~ 5 months later ~

After my break up from Marshall my life had, again, completely changed. I'd rekindled my friendship with Ronnie and so I was flying back and forth between Chicago and Detroit. Also we'd invested a part of my money in shares, which wasn't the worst idea because now I was around 120 million dollar rich. Surely our friendship would never be how it was before all the arguments, but it felt good to have a female friend again.

My family had literally begged me to come back home after I'd told them about the break up, but I'd declined. Detroit was my home and even though I just had a very small circle of friends here, I wouldn't leave. I loved this city and there was no way in hell I'd move back into a horrible past.

Speaking about friends, for sure I still had Royce; who was my rock. This man was a true blessing and I wouldn't trade him for anything on this planet. Also I still had Ashley and Nate who had told me from the start that they wouldn't give up the friendship with me, just because I wasn't with Marshall anymore. Then I also had the rest of slaughterhouse, who all came over to my house at least 2 times a month to watch any kinds of sport and spend time with me. Aaaand I can't forget the girls....
Laney, Hailie and also Whitney still stayed in contact with me and funnily even slept over in my house frequently. The first time they'd showed up at my door, 1 month after the break up I'd cried like a baby. I was overly happy that they still thought about me and didn't cut me out off their lives.

And crying..... oh hell, I cried a lot. For 3 months my day basically only consisted of bawling my eyes out and it got worse every time I'd left my house, drove out off the gates and saw Marshall's car driving towards Kim. He had tried to reach out to me countless times during the first 2 months, but when I never replied to his messages or answered his calls it became less and thankfully he stopped completely. The 'relationship' between him and Kim had only lasted for 7 weeks and then they got in a very heated argument; which even I heard in my backyard and they broke up for good.

And for that he'd left me......

Today was April 26th and I was out shopping when I got a call from my best friend.
"What can I do for one of the hottest dudes on this earth?!" I answered and as answer a booming laugh came through the phone.
"You just fuckin' lighted up my day T." Royce told me after he'd calmed down and I smiled to myself while searching through hangers with button down shirts.
"I need ya help, lady. Can you come over to Shady Records? My damn car won't move." He got straight to the point and I stopped searching and swallowed hard. "I know you don't wanna come here, but I promise you won't have to see him, aight?!"

You can't leave him hanging.....

"I'll be there in 30 minutes." I sighed and after he chuckled, he thanked me and ended the call. I walked out of the shop without buying anything, went to the parking garage and drove on the fastest way to the Record Label to help my friend while overthinking what I would do if I would really see my ex.

Run away.....I'm not a child!
Hide..... look at the last answer!
Punch him....possibility, don't rule it out!
Act like he's invisible.....I still like punching him!

STOP!!!! Royce promised you won't see him. Trust your friend!!!

I hoped and prayed that Royce would be right when I drove through the gates and immediately spotted him leaning against his car, while talking to Denaun and another guy.

"T....." he yelled relieved when I'd turned off the engine of my car, got out and walked towards the 3 men. "Thanks for showin' up." He said after he'd hugged me quickly and before Denaun pulled me in a hug.
"Damn Tina, you look fabulous." He complimented me and I smiled at him and patted his shoulder.
"You don't look so bad yourself. How you doing?" I asked when Denaun had released me and he shrugged.
"As always." He answered simply and then Royce jumped in.
"Lady, lemme introduce you to this guy here." He said and nodded at the man I didn't know. "Sean, Tina. Tina, Sean." I reached out my hand for Sean and he eyed me up and down while shaking my hand.
"She the girl from the pic, right?!" Sean asked the other two who stared from him to me and I knitted my eyebrows in confusion.
"Uhm, which pic?" I asked and Sean answered while the others looked down and kicked imaginary stones on the ground.
"The one in Em's office. You two're sittin on a bench or some shit an the dudes smilin' an...." I had completely zoned out and fiddled nervously with the car keys in my hands.
