Chapter- 7

Meri's POV

I was so bored sitting alone in the class. Half of the class was not present due to the ball in Greece. I saw their pictures in social medias. They were having a lot of fun in Greece and they were not coming until Wednesday. I looked around my class and didn't see any familiar face so I took the last seat in the corner. "Hey, may I take this seat?"asked a really hot boy with  unwanted formality. "Su.....sure" I stammered. "So your group is in Greece?"asked the boy. "Yeah" I replied. "I'm Andrew Latsis" said Andrew, extending his had. I shook it. "Nice to meet you Latsis. I'm Meredith Grand" I said. "I know" he replied with a smile.

The rest of the class went smoothly. The bell rang and it was time for lunch. "Maybe you can join us during lunch " said Andrew. "Ok. Thanks for asking "I said with a smile. He smiled back and nodded.

Andrew's group was filled with popular, cold and unnecessarily formal people. I was really bored. I ate my lunch hurriedly as I wanted to escape from that unfriendly place. I saw a hot boy staring at me. He looked like the hottest in the group. I stared back at him and smiled. He quickly looked away as he blushed. I ignored him and continued eating my food. He was again starting at me. Ugh!It was so awkward. "I'm done. Gotta go......library. Thanks for 'aving meh" I said through mouthful of brownies. And without looking back, I ran towards the library. Library is usually very quite with very few people. But today it was different. Half of the remaining students were present there and there was a big board with 'Club Selection ' written on it. A girl with ginger hair ran towards me excitedly. "Wednesday is the club selection as most of the students will be returning from Greece. But you can choose your club now if you like" said the ginger girl. I nodded and went to take a look around. I saw football club where Joseph was a permanent member. "Bro, you forgot Zander's name. He's wicked cool" said a boy of the football club to their President.  I rolled my eyes and walked on until I found just the right club.

'The Astronomy Club". Woah! I'm singing up this instant. I went towards(who looked like) the president of the club. She was a senior and a blonde like me. "Can I sign up?" I asked. "Of course you can. Beware of the nargles though! I'm sure there are many here"she said dreamily, imitating Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. I laughed and raised my hand for a high-five. I found out that the astronomy club was a mess and Jennie(the blonde girl) was its only member. She was very happy to have me as its new member. If there had been such a club in my middle school then I was sure it would be packed. I was very surprised that people weren't into astronomy here. I chatted with Jennie until bell rang and after that I headed to my chemistry class.

"Hey! So you alone?"asked Alexa. I nodded. "You too! Where's your boyfriend "I asked. It was very surprising for me because ever since they started dating, I had always seen them kissing or holding hands. "He's in Greece right now " she said. The rest of the period went really slow. After attending two more periods, I walked downstairs towards my Health and Sanitation class.
On the way someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw the same hot boy in Andrew's group. The one who was continuously staring at me. "Why did you run away from our group? I was worried I did something really creepy to scare you off like that" he said. What? Did I look that obvious? "Of course not! It's just that I forgot to do some important works" I said. "Really? Was club selection your important work? That's lame" he said, making a face.

"I didn't ask for you're opinion anyways" I said. "Club selection is not lame. Astronomy club is lame" he said. "Whatever. How do know? By the way you're  wasting my time, Mr-". "Samuel. Sebastian Samuel. Jennie's friend and you're?" He asked. I was shocked. He was the first person in Florecent who didn't know my name . "I'm Barbie from Malibu" I said sarcastically . "Nice to meet you, Barbie. May our fates intertwine forever  "he said winking at me . I rolled my eyes "So lame " I said and continued walking. This school is filled with stupid bimbos. The last period was also a big bore and even I didn't pay any attention. I was on my way to home, alone, when my phone rang. It was Joseph. "Hey!" I said excitedly. "Missing me, Grand?" It was not Joseph's voice but I knew just who it was. "As if. Actually, I'm very relieved that you're not here" I said coldly. I didn't know why , but every time I talked with Zander, I would be colder than an ice. He chuckled. What was so funny?

"Why are you always as cold as an ice when you're talking with me?"he asked, making me shocked. Can he read my mind? "Shut up. You're just wasting my time and breath" I yelled. "Fine but just answer one question " he said in a serious tone. "What?" I asked. I didn't hear what he said next because a car splashed muddy water on me.

"Hey" I shouted as I looked at my soaked uniform. It was Jennie's car. She rolled down the car windows. "Jennie. Look what you did to me" I said with false annoyance. "I'm so sorry " she said nervously. During all that commotion I forgot my phone was still on. I pressed the 'end call' button and walked on.

Hey guys. I know it's a short and boring chapter but I just wanted to write a chapter dedicated to Sebastian as he will play a very big role later on. But I promise that the next chapter will have a lot of happenings and dramas(😂😂😂)
