"I'm so excited!" Yahiko cried out as he held Lina's hand to run out into the vast field.

"Wait up!" Lina yelled as Yahiko suddenly stopped, causing her to stumble and almost fall.

"Kojuro sama!" Yahiko shouted out happily as Kojuro turned around and smiled at the both of them, a falcon on each of his shoulder.

"I see you brought Lina along.." Kojuro approached them as he smiled.

"Yea you've been hinting at me to bring her along..." Yahiko muttered as Kojuro blushed and so did Lina.

"Yahiko!" Lina scolded as Yahiko grinned and pulled at Kojuro's sleeve.

"Come on! Let's get started on my falconry training!"

Kojuro's blush diminished as he smiled and nodded at the boy...

30 MINUTES LATER

"Man nee chan you make the best sushi rolls!" Yahiko praised his sister as he dipped his sushi into the soy sauce..

Lina rolled her eyes at his comment as she pinched his cheek.

"You're only saying that because you're hungry!"

"Ite ite!" Yahiko scowled as he used his free hand to rub his cheek. "Stop that nee chan! Why don't you busy yourself by offering Kojuro sama the oshiruko you prepared!"

Kojuro's green eyes widened as he turned to Lina.

"You prepared something for me too?"

Lina smiled and nodded as she took out a covered bowl from the picnic basket she brought.

"Yea, I remembered your favourite food is oshiruko. So I made it for you since I know both you and Yahiko will be hungry after the training."

Kojuro gave a warm smile as he took the chopsticks from Lina and began eating...

"My sister sure is a good cook isn't she Kojuro sama?? She'll make the perfect wife!" Yahiko spoke as Lina blushed uncontrollably.

Recently Yahiko has been playing the bias card. He's urging her to go for Kojuro as Kojuro is the only one currently close to him...

Kojuro too blushed as his green eyes met Lina's brown ones...

"Erm... I... I... I guess... guess so..." Kojuro's deep voice croaked out.

"Heh... Eh...!" Yahiko suddenly held his stomach as he shot up. "I need the toilet!"

He then ran off...

"Damn that brat! He knows already what grandma and Lord Kenshin warned us and yet he's still pushing me to be with a samurai!!!" Lina cursed in her mind.

Kojuro was feeling uncomfortable by the minute and he took out his handkerchief from the inner side of his hakama to wipe his mouth.

Lina turned to him and saw the state of the handkerchief..

"Kojuro... Give me your handkerchief..." Lina said as she dug into her picnic basket and brought out a small box. "I brought my sewing tools in case Yahiko tears his sleeve again... I'll fix your handkerchief..."

Kojuro blushed a deeper red as he shook his head.

"No-no it's fine Lina! I can always get a new one! I just happened to rush out of my room so I didn't had time to choose!"

Lina frowned as she snatched the handkerchief from his hand.

"You listen to a woman when she wants to sew okay!" Lina chided as Kojuro opened and closed his mouth before smiling.

"Thank you Lina."

"It's no big deal Kojuro..."

"Lina..."

"Hmm..." Lina spoke as she continued sewing the holes in his handkerchief.

"Did my falcon visit you few weeks back?"

Lina stiffened at his question but quickly composed herself.

"No. What a weird question to ask. Why?"

"Because Lord Shigezane went to follow my falcon since he was out for a night walk..."

Lina knew she can't avoid his questions anymore and sighed before turning to him, handing him his cloth.

"Well if you know already why are you still asking me?"

"I just want to hear from your side of the story."

Lina sighed again as she related everything that happened that night...

"So... are you jealous?" Kojuro asked and Lina gave a soft smile as she shook her head.

"Nah... If that's what his mother wants then I guess it's the best for him... After all, the saying goes that mothers know best right?"

"Hmm... True that... But I have another question..."

"Which is?"

"If... let's say... I like you..."

Lina snapped her eyes to his green ones but his expression is still as cool as ever.

"I said if." Kojuro emphasized, not even blushing.

"Erm... Err, okay..."

"If... I like you... will you like me back?"

Lina thought about her answer carefully before answering...

"Well.. that depends..."

"Depends on what?"

"On what basis are you liking me for.. Like do you like me for my looks, for my personality, for my cooking... That kind of stuff.."

"Oh... If let's say I like you for all the times I visited you at the restaurant..."

"Which means you like my restaurant." Lina said matter of factly as she rolled her eyes.

"No." Kojuro chuckled. "Means I like your cooking."

"No. Means you like my grandma's cooking. If that's the case then you should crush on my grandma not me."

Kojuro shivered at that thought which caused Lina to burst out laughing.

"Come on Lina! What kind of suggestion was that!" Kojuro scolded her playfully as Lina covered her mouth to stifle her laughter before calming down.

"So... coming to my restaurant to eat..."

"Means I like your looks, I like your personality... I like to see you everyday."

"Well now do you?" Lina laughed as Kojuro smiled.

"I said if..."

"Well... if it's an if... I guess I could like you back..." Lina said happily before she remembered about her heritage... "Or... Maybe not..."

Kojuro frowned at her change of mood.

"Why ever not?"

"Hmm... Because... I myself am not sure what I'm looking for in a man..." Lina said slowly as she chose her answer carefully.

"Oh..." Kojuro replied.

He doesn't seem disappointed so that's a good sign...

"Hey I'm back!" Yahiko yelled out as he plopped beside his sister. "So what happened when I was gone?"
