THREE MONTHS AFTER THE INCIDENT
Lina's P.O.V.:
"Well-well... Looks like we have a new customer eh..." I smiled at Lord Nobunaga's table...
"Hey Hime sama! Yea meet my new retainer, Takenaka Shigeharu Hanbei! Hanbei this is Hime sama!" Hideyoshi introduced as Hanbei blushed at the introduction.
"Lord Hideyoshi! You didn't have to use my full name! Just Hanbei will do!"
I chuckled at his embarrassment as I bowed a bit.
"Well pleased to have you on board as one of our regulars Hanbei sama..."
Hanbei waved his hands in front of him frantically, clearly embarrassed.
"It's-it's just Hanbei Hime sama! Just Hanbei will do! You are of higher rank than me so there's no need for you to address me as such!"
I gave another laugh as Ieyasu knocked Hanbei's head.
"Don't pretend to be a shy embarrassed boy eh! You are light years behind me and Hideyoshi in terms of getting Lina's attention!"
I smiled as I turned to Hideyoshi.
"Hideyoshi sama, I already told you it's just Lina. Not Hime sama..."
"No no! And that's just Hideyoshi to you!" Hideyoshi tsked as he closed his eyes and shook his head.
"Yea that certainly won't do! You are our Hime sama!" Inuchiyo nodded in agreement.
"Guys... Do I really have to come here? My shoulder is still aching..." Mitsuhide spoke with a wince of pain as I frowned..
"Yea why is he here?"
"Oh please he's just pretending! We didn't even force him! The moment he hears we're coming here he's like "Hey wait please bring me along!" and tried his best to hobble out of bed and follow us!" Mitsunari chided as Mitsuhide blushed.
"Erm-erm no! That's not true!"
"It is!" Hideyoshi snapped.
"It's not!"
"Is true!" Ieyasu grinned as he high-fived Hideyoshi.
"He's fine..." Lord Nobunaga suddenly spoke, giving an irritated sigh. "Luckily Hotaru being an experienced ninja knows what herbs to find to act as temporary antidote against Ieyasu's poisoned arrow. If not for that duration of time, Mitsuhide wouldn't survive..."
Ieyasu's eyes turned guilty as he looked at Mitsuhide.
"Sorry Mitsuhide..."
Mitsuhide smiled as he waved it off.
"Nah it's fine. We're comrades till death do us part aren't we?"
