weeks passed and i didn't really bother to return back to the coffee shop anytime soon. other than seeing jooheon, there was no desire to go. a part of me wishes i left my phone number on the note i left him but i guess there is always next time.

min ji called and wanted to go out. she suggested a couple of places except for the one place she usually always suggests.

"what about the coffee shop?" i asked her.

"you know i was gonna ask because well, you know but i wasn't a hundred percent sure."

"we can go there if you want."

"okay! i'll meet you there in ten minutes?"

"yeah. usual spot."

"okay, see ya."

"bye."

min ji was already there when i walked in. i didn't bother looking around for jooheon yet, i walked over to my spot and sat across from min ji.

i was aboutto peer around for jooheon when min ji said, "he isn't here." i look back at her, "i already looked for you."

"oh." i say, disappointed.

"i'm gonna order myself something, you comin' with?"

i shook my head, "no, i'm not getting anything."

"not even food or something like that?"

"nah, i'm good."

once min ji sat back down and got settled with her order, we go on with ourselves, talking about how we've been doing and what's new when we were interrupted by a roar of laughter and rambunctiousness as a crowd of boys walked in.

i recognized one of the boys, which immediately made me sit up in my seat, givien i was sulking before.

"i-i think that's jooheon." i said to min ji who turned her head around to spot him.

we walked as he went from being all the way in the back of the group to squishig his way through the front. he turned around and faced his friends, "who wants what?" he said in korean.

min ji and i looked at each other with furrowed eyeborws, "what the-"

"why is he speaking-"

"i don't know."

we turn back and watch the group of boys, all of which yelling in korean to jooheon. once everyone goes silent, jooheon faces his coworker at the register and begins taking his the order in korean, "and an iced americano." the last oart he said in english. i knew for a fact that that was his order.
