My eyes opened, blinded by the sun shining through the crystal glass windows. The information I had learned poured into my mind, stressing me out a little but with a little food, I could get passed it.
I sat up and stretched my arms out with a yawn, removing the blankets from my body. I scanned the room for Sihtric but couldn't find him. He was supposed to be on the couch? I guess he got up early...
I sighed and rubbed my eyes, pushing myself off the bed. I waited for my feet to touch the ground but instead I heard a grunt. I peered over the bedside to see a once sleeping, but now awake, Sihtric. The smile on his lips was breathtaking, as I looked over his chucking body.
"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" I whispered rushing to his side.
"I'm fine trust me. Your little feet didn't hurt me, just took me by surprise. I guess that's my fault for sleeping on the floor," He laughed before sitting up.
"I thought you were supposed to sleep on the couch? I feel even worse now that you were on the floor!" I whined a little, watching his amused features spark.
I really did feel bad for sleeping in his bed and making him sleep on the couch but, I feel a hundred times worse that he slept on the uncomfortable floor.
"It's okay love, I just needed to sleep next to you. I couldn't sleep 4 feet across the room," He said and placed his lips upon my forehead.
I could feel my emotions go haywire every time he touched me. The sparks he left, made me feel as if I was dreaming and in a mental high. They were way more powerful than Malachi's which didn't make sense.
Speaking of Malachi, I wonder how he's doing. Last time I saw him, he made a fool of himself at the Royal Ball. Pathetic.
The day went by slowly, we ate, read some more about Hybrids and decided to explore Sihtric's pack grounds. The land was beautiful in the winter, everything was coated in a sugary white snow that glistened in the sun. Buildings were built long ago but looked historically pleasing as their bricks were multiple shades of red and brown. I even got to meet some of the pack members, which were delightful.
I met a girl around my age, who had gorgeous dark skin and the finest of hair. Her name was Tia and I was jealous of how beautiful she was. Her brown eyes were the most interesting thing as they looked doe like. Her personality was so unique but likable. I could really see myself being great friends with her.
I also got to see the Orphanage but the kids were sleeping and I didn't want to wake them up. Clear windows were on the inside walls where they slept so they could be observed. I watched them all cuddle into their blankets peacefully, their mouths parted slightly. I have to admit, I have a soft spot for children. I loved all the young kids back at my pack and all of my younger cousins. There is no doubt that I want kids in the future.
The slight tug of my arm pulled me out of my trance. I looked up to see Sihtric watching me with adoration. His blue eyes were now rimmed with silver, meaning his wolf approved of something.
We walked hand in hand around the pack, talking to elders, meeting with guards and just taking in all the beauty of Wessex. Eventually the sun set and the darkness was ready to pour out, as he led me back to the pack house for dinner.
Once we arrived, a table for two was set. A white cloth laid over the table while a set of flowers were stationed in the middle. The room was dimly lit with candles, leaving me speechless.
Yes, I was nervous because I have never been on a date but I also didn't know Sihtric was capable of his kind of treatment. Many of the stories I've heard about him, weren't true at all. He was such a kind and loving man.
"This is amazing," I breathed, taking in the room's pleasing state.
"This is just one of many, love." He took my hand in his, leading me to a chair that he pulled out for me.
"Thank you," The feeling of heat rising to my cheeks made me look away.
He took a seat across from me with a little chuckle before nodding his head towards something that remained by the door. When I turned around to see what was there, it was gone.
"What was that?" I questioned.
"You'll see,"
Suddenly the doors opened and two butlers came out from the kitchen with silver platters. The smell of food invaded my nose, making my mouth water. I watched as they set the food down and uncovered the delicious smelling meal.
The most amazing pasta I had ever seen was plated with a small salad to the side. See now most people would think this was simple but, I loved Italian food. You could feed me pasta, pizza, and even cannolis, every day and I'd be happy.
The largest smile took over my face as I stared down at the food. "I love Italian! How did you know?"
"Everyone loves Italian," He smiled simply before saying 'Dig in!'.
I chowed down my food, savoring every bite before a guard came into the room interrupting us.
"What is it?" Sihtric asked, his tone laced with annoyance.
"Alpha, we have someone at the front gates asking to speak with you. They aren't very happy." The gruff man said, digging his hands into his pockets.
"As you can see, I am sitting here with my mate. I told everyone to leave us be for tonight. So with that being said, tell the person to come back another time." He said, losing any patience he had left.
"I'm afraid that the 'someone' outside is rather important..." The guard trailed off.
I began to look back and forth at Sihtric and the Guard, taking in all of the conversation. The guard constantly beating around the bush pissed me off, making me lose my temper.
"Who is outside?" I smacked my hands down on the table, earning a confused look from both men.
"Well, who is it?" I asked again, extremely agitated that my time with Sihtric was now ruined.
"It's Alpha Malachi,"
