The next day came around quickly, the sun shining through the windows of the living room. We both woke up early to shower and get ready for the day. Sihtric had some pack stuff to do today while I was going to hang out with Tia.

I was really excited to actually have a friend here. My best friend was back at my old pack probably bored to death without me. It sounds selfish to think that but, it's true... everyone has that friend they are lost without.

After I was ready, I headed out to the pack grounds to meet Tia. I was walking the stone path from the house when I felt an unpleasant feeling, like I was being watched.

I squinted my eyes to get a better view of my surroundings, my ears were wide open trying to catch any sound possible. I turned my body, only to be tackled by a very tall Tia.

"Rayne! I'm so glad you made it," She hugged me, us both on the ground with a squeal.

I chuckled, trying to hug back but my hands were in an awkward position, bound to my sides. "I'm glad too."

After our little reunion on the ground, we walked around the pack talking about our lives and such before the Orphanage came into view. The large brick building stood tall, with green ivy and vines scattered all over it's surface.

Today was different here, it was more active and loud with the kids outside playing. They were all running and climbing on the jungle gym that was placed in the front of the building. A smile played on my lips as I watched them. I really did adore children and this visual made me want to have my own someday even more.

I walked over to the woman that runs the Orphanage. Apparently, she was shy and didn't like to talk much, which I understood. I asked if I could play with the kids and she nodded, she was happy somebody actually wanted to play with them. I guess many don't have time to play with them, as they have pack jobs and are busy 24/7.

Tia and I played tag with the kids all afternoon, until it was lunch time. They all ran inside giggling and talking to their friends, with no care in the world. We said our goodbyes and began to walk away until a little girl with dark brown hair and green eyes looked back at me with a toothy smile, vanishing into the house.

I learned her name was Oli and that she was only three. She was a beautiful little girl; her skin was exceptionally gorgeous as she suffered from Vitiligo. The loss of skin pigment didn't even bother her, she looked at it in a positive way, not allowing the other kids opinions to alter her self-perception.

This little girl now had a place in my heart and I wanted to be there as she grew, I wanted to watch her grow into a beautiful young girl.

As the distance between me and the pack house grew less, Tia and I parted ways both going home. The doors were pushed open, with a thrust of my hands. The house was lit up by the ongoing fire, creating a tint of orange and comfort to spread throughout the home. My comfort only grew with the sight of Sihtric, the glimmer from the fire playing with the shadows of his frame.

"Hello love," His head turned towards me, a smile on his face.

"Hi." I copied his gestures and walked over to the chair he was sitting on.

He set the files down that were in his hands and placed his warm fingertips around my waist, pulling me down to his lap. I positioned myself comfortably, my legs across his while my head lay against his chest.

"I want to work at the Orphanage." I blurted out but soon placed my hand over my mouth.

"Sorry I didn't mean to ruin the moment," I whispered.

"You didn't ruin anything, every moment with you is cherished," He chuckled, my heart fluttering at his comment. "And, you don't need to ask for a job, you are the Luna of this pack. You can do whatever you please."

"I just wanted your permission to be out and about," I wrapped my arms around his neck, staring into his perplexing blue eyes. "Thank you."

His eyes found mine, the swirl of lust making itself known. I have never felt this way towards anyone before and it was weird because, I didn't want a mate at first. The more time I spent with Sihtric, the more I wanted this love, the more I wanted... him.

"What is on your mind princess? You look puzzled." The worry in his voice making me feel cared about for once.

"Well, you said as the Luna I can do anything right?" I asked, trying to hide my smirk.

"Yes?" His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

I looked away, creating a façade of what my true intentions were. "Well, I'm going to hold you to that."

"What are you talking about? What did you do?" He asked. I could tell his patience was growing thin as I played with him.

"It's not what I did, but what I'm going to do."

He was ready to protest, but before he could get any words out, I pressed my lips against his, pouring my love into his own.
