Dear young me,
This is a letter from the older you.
I'm writing you this letter to tell you
some of the things that you'll need to know
in the future that I wish someone would've told me
when I was young.
Don't be in a rush to grow up.
I know it might be exciting
and you get to do more things when you're older
but it isn't all that great.
Yes you'll get to date, have a car, etc.
But those things don't last.
That boy may end up breaking your heart.
That car might crash eventually.
But even though those things don't stay forever
you have to learn and grow from it.
The one who broke you wasn't worth your time.
That car can always be repaired.
So live each day to the fullest
but don't rush yourself.
Don't be afraid to love
and only let those in who truly care.
And always remember to be yourself and shine brightly.
Don't ever let anyone take away your shine.
So this was just some advice that I hope you can use
and maybe give it to those who need it most.
Love, The older me/you
