You were on your lunch break when your phone buzzed with a text from your roommate and boyfriend, Ethan. He was currently at his office with Mark, Tyler, Amy, and Kathryn. You weren't really a part of 'Teamiplier', you just tagged along whenever Ethan begged you to. Neither of you were ready to announce your relationship to the community yet, or even your friends and family.
Sure, you'd been on his channel a few times and in group pictures on his social medias but as far as everybody knew, you were just his platonic friend and roommate.
Ethan had texted you as you were in the line for your office building's cafeteria. You read over the text, 'you busy Saturday? i'm having a christmas solo charity livestream and need someone to play stuff with'
You mulled it over, as far as you knew, you were just going to get brunch with Amy and Kathryn for a girls day. You could be back in time for the stream.
'sure! see you for a pizza dinner and hp marathon tonight?'
He texted back almost immediately, 'so romantic'
'shut up'
'sounds fun, see you later'
'bye'
Tucking your phone back into your pocket, you paid for your food before sitting at a table in the corner. You pulled out your laptop, you still had a report that was due in an hour, you couldn't take too much time off.
As you typed away with your headphones on, you could feel the table vibrating with notifications on your phone, so you had to turn it on silent. But the screen kept lighting up, so you flipped it over. Whatever was happening could wait, you needed to finished this.
Finally, your report was finished just as your lunch break was coming to an end. Perfect, you could print it and hand it in to your boss with about ten minutes to spare.
Your boss was very happy with your work, and at the end of the day, you said goodbye to your coworkers. When you arrived back at your house, you were ready to watch some Harry Potter and cuddle with your boyfriend.
"Ethan, I'm home!" You walked into the kitchen to see a few more people than you were expecting. "Hey guys!"
Sitting at your kitchen table was Amy, Kathryn, Mark, and Tyler. They all turned to you with smiles and stood up to hug you. You were slightly disappointed that you wouldn't be able to spend the night alone with Ethan, but hanging out with your friends was always fun.
"Where's Ethan?" You asked, noticing the absence of the blue boy.
"He's upstairs trying to find the DVDs in your room." Mark explained, and you nodded.
Ethan knew that the DVDs were kept in the cabinets by the TV. Why was he upstairs? You decided to go up yourself, excusing yourself from the group on account of getting changed. In your bedroom that you shared with Ethan, you saw him sitting on the bed.
"Why are they all downstairs? I thought tonight was gonna be just us?" You softly whined, and he pulled you down onto his lap.
"I'm sorry, babe, they kind of invited themselves over when I told them about us watching Harry Potter." Ethan sighed, cradling you close to him. "I promise tomorrow night we can be all by ourselves."
"Okay." You pecked him on the cheek before climbing off the bed. "Now go get the DVDs from where they actually are."
The movie night was relatively uneventful, you had to distance yourself from Ethan by putting Kathryn between you two, or else you'd end up cuddling or kissing him. You weren't ready to tell your friends about you two yet.
Just a few days later, you were set up at the spare computer, Santa hat atop your head. Ethan was wearing a cute little elf hat and fiddling with his camera on his main computer. "Okay, we are ready to stream! Come here, Y/N, we should do introductions together."
You rolled your chair over next to him, looking at him for a minute. "We're not ready yet."
"What do you mean? Your computer and camera is set up, the donation counter is there, YouTube isn't crashing-"
"You're forgetting one thing, Ethan."
"What am I-? Oh." He smiled, seeming to realize what you meant, leaning over to kiss you briefly. "Are you ready now?"
"Yes." You smiled proudly, relaxing back in your chair as Ethan started broadcasting.
"Are we up? Is everything working for you guys?" He asked the viewers, and the chat was spammed with yes's, and a few asking who you were, while the people who knew you were ecstatic that you were there. "Okay, first of all, Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate. if you don't, thank you for joining us, and Happy Holidays! Y/N, intro time?"
"Whapoosh! Hello my Cranky Crew!" You bombastically yelled out before Ethan could say another another word.
"That's not even my intro, Y/N!" Ethan exclaimed, a smile across his face. "Why did you do the high five noise from Jack's intro?"
You shrugged, "It's a lot more fun."
Your boyfriend turned back to the stream. "Hey guys! This is a charity livestream for the Make-a-Wish foundation, and I am joined by my friend Y/N today."
"Hey guys." You waved calmly this time, looking at the comments about you in the chat. They were mostly positive.
A few hours into the stream, you were at your computer setup, with a camera broadcasting your face in addition to the one with Ethan's.
"We should play Viscera Cleanup Duty!" Ethan announced, and you agreed, loading the game up on your computer.
On the first go-around, you and Ethan were just messing around. "Hey. Hey, Ethan." You tried to keep in your laughter. "I got you a present."
His character turned around to see you holding one of the severed elf heads, and he laughed. "Oh wowie! For me? It's a Christmas miracle!"
Then, Ethan turned around and picked up an elf leg, holding it out to you in-game. "I got you something too."
"You shouldn't have!" You squealed, trying to accept it, but it ended up glitching into Ethan's character's torso. "Oh my god!"
You were both cackling and wheezing, slipped down in your chairs. It took you a minute to wipe the tears from your eyes, and you turned around to see Ethan still laughing. When you went back to your screen, you set to work actually trying to clean up some of the blood and viscera.
After a few minutes of doing that and chatting amicably with Ethan, you were satisfied with the work you had done, and turned to view the cleanr oom. But it wasnt clean, there was still digital blood and gore strewn across the room. Your mop buckets were knocked over, and you saw Ethan spreading blood around the walls.
"Ethan!" You groaned, and his character turned around to yours, bloody mop till in hand.
"It wasn't me, I swear."
Rolling your eyes, you pushed your chair over to his before flicking him on the back of the head.
"What was that for?" He whined, spinning in his chair to face you. Ethan retaliated by tickling you along your sides, and your collarbone, where you were most ticklish.
"Get off me!" You yelped, squirming in your chair away from him. "I swear, I'd kill you if you weren't by boyfriend!"
"Nah, you love me too much." He said smugly, but ceasing the torment.
"Unfortunately." You straightened up in your chair, smiling to the camera.
Shit, the camera. You weren't doing a video that Ethan could just edit out any slipups, you were doing a livetream. "Whoops."
"Huh?" Ethan asked, then he seemd to remember the camera as well. "Whoops."
