Chapter 1: Big News

* Your POV *

It's the last day for me here at Lakeview High as a Junior. I just wish this day would end faster, I couldn't care less about these people, this school, this town, even the state of Oregon. They never payed attention to me anyway. Only the cold hearted and scummy people notice my existence. Such as Ryan Shay, the Lakeview man whore.

I walk into school soaking wet, since mother nature decided that she should make my day even worse. As soon as I step into the dingy hallway, the pink, plastic parade comes marching towards me.

"Girls, do you smell that? It smells like hobo sweat. Oh wait, it's just (y/n)." Rose snorts. Her group laughs in my face and sashay away. As they click down the hallway in their overpriced shoes, I grimace behind their back.

I continue walking towards my grey, beat up locker when I'm suddenly attacked again. However, this time it was Ryan.

"Damn (y/n), you're looking hot as hell today. Can you come over by my place tonight and I'll show you something you've never seen before." He said as he slid his hands down my waist.

"You're about as disgusting as the underside of a toilet seat, you know that?" I snap as I punch him hard on the shoulder. He smirks and walks confidently away from me.

First period hasn't even started yet and I'm already sick of it.

Lunch period comes ever so slowly and I sit alone at a booth. I was not alone for long though. Rose and her friends cram into my space.

"What do you want now." I say, annoyed.

"Just curious what slop you have to eat. We feel so bad you have to eat such poor people food. Unlike us, we eat only the finest, imported lunches, packed in our prada bags." Rose says as her girls nod along.

I grab my lunch and stand up.

"Don't make me do it." I threaten.

"You wouldn't." Rose proudly smiles.

As she said that, I dumped my soup on her newly dyed hair.

I sat for the next hour in Mr. Hollow's office, the school's principal. Rose was ranting about how the soup was entirely on me, and not a word was mentioned about how she was pushing me over the edge.

"(y/n) should be punished for what she did! This hair is more expensive than her house, don't you get it?" Rose yells. I don't say a word and roll my eyes so hard that it hurt.

"I'm sure that (y/n) had a very good reason." Mr. Hollow calmly states. Rose gives me a death stare.

I then tell Mr. Hollow ever word she said to me. Of course, he'd believe me over a girl who has a reputation for bullying.

"I see. Rose you'll be serving a two hour detention for lying to my face. Have a nice day girls." He says while showing us out.

Rose hoffs and storms away to tell her girl group. I smile to myself as I see chunks of carrots and celery in her blonde hair. Plus how her hair lost its bounce made me laugh even harder.

It's last period and everybody in my science class is talking about my soup fiasco. Mr. Kortio isn't too pleased about it.

"Kids please we need to focus on this. I know it's the last day and all but you'll need the anatomy of the human body next year." Mr. Kortio yells.

Ryan raises his hand.

"Hey Mr. Kortio, have you heard what (y/n) did to Rose at lunch today? It was brutal."

I silently face palm in the corner.

"No, Mr. Shay, and I don't really care. So will you please pay attention." Mr. Kortio snaps and turns around to face the board.

2:07 finally rolls around and the final bell rings. Everybody literally sprints out of their seats and almost trample me. Ryan slaps my ass on the way out, and I almost puked.

I take my old black Ford home and see that my Dad was on the porch waiting for me. He had a suitcase next to him.

"Hey (y/n), pack your bags right now! I just got a message saying that my good friend Jeon Cho wants to see me again. He said that there are some boys he wants you to meet as well. We are going to South Korea!"
