I flutter my eyes open. Taking in every thought. I move my eyes over to this sleeping beauty. I keep makin' promises I couldn't even take accountability of and she knew that but I think she love me too much to let me go and of course I don't ever want her to.
I kissed her forehead softly making her shift around.
Her eyes open slowly as she looked at me. Her eyes looked down at my clothes. I saw that familiar disappointing look in her eyes. She sighed heavily and gently push me away from her.
She sat up with her back towards me.
"You goin' back today huh?" She asked in a soft voice.
I stammered,"Um-um-"
She cut me off, "Yes,you're answer would be yes,wouldn't it Eric?"
I was speechless,I couldn't say anything.
"God knows I shoulda left you alone when I had the chance." She mumbled as she headed to the bathroom.
"Aye look she goin' through some rough shit iight?!"
She turned around looking me dead serious in the eyes. "What? What? What could she possibly be goin through,my nigga?!"
Once again I stayed quiet cause I didn't know.
"Exactly you don't know and I definitely don't know for sure!" With that she left saying "Have a good day."
I shook my head and left out the room. These past three months has been like a roller coaster ride. One day I'm having my ups and downs with Tomica another day I'm having my ups and downs with Lauren.
I just mostly been dealing with Tomica. Lately she's just been cryin' alot. Some days she'll try to make it look like she's okay most days she'll be outta it.
I know it's bad for me to be by her side when she well but I love her. I may not shown it but I do.
After I kissed the kids "bye" I left and went back home.
° "Tomica?! Baby I'm home!" I announced.
I heard her small feet tap against the stairs.
"Hey baby,how was your day?" She asked with a bright smile. I smiled back I haven't seen this side of Tomica in months.
This is the Tomica I fell in love with.
"It was good,what 'bout you?" I asked.
"Great." She walked to the kitchen getting a bottle water outta the fridge.
All of sudden I just felt an awkward tension.
Tomica cleared her throat. "Uh,Eric I have an excuse for why I've been actin' the way I have."
I looked up from my lap and arched my eyebrow at her. "Why?"
She chucked lightly and smiled showin' all 32 teeth. "Eric, I'm pregnant."
