Chapter 20

                    They all knew why King Ned was attacking the Red Keep. King Shutu was yelling orders as the doors swung open to reveal a Captain Nightshade and a much relived looking Mr. August.

"Sorry, I'm late. Getting poised really slows you down." She said with a bright smile.

"Captain Nightshade!" They all yelled. They ran up to her and she smile and said well I came to warn you but didn't get here in time. My crew and my brother have turned traitor and stole my ship. My own flesh and blood poisoned me. I'm here to help. Then Sienna walked in and said there is also an army marching here as well.

"Sienna, what are you doing here?" Dorian asked.

"Keeping my promise." She answered. They all smiled because now they stood a chance. They were preparing as the first cannon ball hit. It shook time the entire place. They looked at each other and nodded knowing this could be the last time seeing each other. They all said goodbye and left one by one.

"Well pleasure knowing all of you, next time we see each other the drinks are on me." Lucina told them with a brilliant smile. Mr. August nodded at them and left with her. Sienna was next to leave.

"Thank you for helping me and showing me I don't have to be alone anymore." Sienna said then change into her snow leopard form and took off. Orist left with you have been the greatest friends I could ever hope for. Then Dorian and Pyria left the just couldn't say those words for each other. Then Kaston and Kalin. Kaston pulled her towards him and she wrapped her arms around his neck and they leaned in and shared their first and possibly last kiss together. Hand in hand walk out into the battlefield together. It was a fierce battle. Kalin running around stabbing and exploding things. While Kaston shot anything that got close to her. Dorian and Pyria moving like the wind slashing and always being back to back. Orist was flinging mage fire and ice around burning them or freezing them to death. Sienna was clawing and ripping her victims apart. Lucina was shredding her enemy's apart with a flick of the wrist. Mr. August was taking care of the wounded. They were a terrify group to see and fight. Liam then had to take matter into his own and fight his sister. Lucina turned her gaze to him. He gave her a playful smile as she approached him. Anyone who got in her way was ripped apart in mere seconds.

"You dare show your face here, brother!" She said in an icy tone. Her eyes full of sorrow and hatred. He laughed at her.

"You are nothing but a stepping stone for my true Captain." Liam said. Lucina cry out and their duel began. On the other side of the battlefield was King Ned and Shutu fighting. They were silent during the entire fight but Shutu was losing and fast. His sword was flung out of his hand as King Ned pointed his spear at his brother throat. As King Ned was bringing it down it clashed with another spear. King Ned looked up to find Dorian standing tall.

"Dorian what are you doing?" Ned asked.

"Defending the innocent." Was all Dorian replied to his father as swung his spear up. It came mere inches from Ned face. Dorian pointed his spear and said get ready. King Ned brought his spear up and stood in a fighting position.

"I can't believe you would betray me your father for him!" King Ned yelled. Dorian merely shook his head and lunged for his father. The two were so fast you could barely see them. Kalin was running towards another enemy when she cry out in pain. Her whole arm frozen including her dagger. She looked around for the mage responsibly only to find Orist looking at her smirking.

"NO!!" Kalin screamed as she realized that the traitor was Orist. No one notice over the battle noises.

"Why, Orist, why we were friends." Kalin yelled as the ice shattered. Orist just laughed at her display.

"You think I would be friends with you a thief," Orist told her. At that moment Kalin felt her heart break for her friendship. She yelled and attacked she swung the daggers at him with incredibly strength and speed. They both fought hard. Until Kalin felt pain shoot through her stomach to find a large shard of ice there. She looked at Orist he laughed and said best wishes from the Forgotten Brother. Orist then walked away towards the Black Swan. Lucina and Liam still fighting. The sibling clashed until Lucina had to jump back before she was burned from magic. Liam then smiled and said till next time and disappeared. Lucina cried out in frustration. Dorian was bleeding in several stops and had a large blood stain over his chest. As he made the killing blow to King Ned.

"I always knew you would kill me that's way I killed your brother." King Ned said with his last breath. The battle was theirs but Orist and Liam escaped on the Black Swan. The solider started to cheer and King Shutu was with them cheering until two heart breaking cries interrupted them. They look to see Pyria holding Prince Dorian as he reached up and brushed his blooded hand over her cheek but his hand just fell to his side leaving a red streak across her face and Pyria started to scream I was supposed to protect you because I love you so don't go! Then Kaston holding Kalin's head crying while saying don't leave me, my love. It broke everyone's hearts to see this. Doctors ran to them and had to pry them away from Dorian and Kalin. They didn't stop crying as they held each other. As Dorian and Kalin were taken away.
