That afternoon, they arrived at the channel across from the Red Keep. They looked out over the water and they could tell exactly why it was called the Red Keep. It gave off a red color from the red clay it was built from centuries ago. It has been said it is stained with blood from so many wars and murders.
They looked at the water white capping with the wind blowing from the south. The docks were gone. All that was left was some ashes blowing in the wind. They all looked out over the water and felt despair.
"What do we do now?" Kalin asked.
"I guess we go to the town and see if anyone will take us there." Pyria said.
"Well if any one does it would be counted as treason." The Prince told us.
"We don't have a choice do we." Orist told them as they walked in the direction of the town. As they approach the town, they could see the lights sparkling in the night.
"We should head to the docks." Pyria told them. As they walked they bumped into someone.
"My apologies." A voice said with an accent. they looked at the figure she was wearing a black leather trench coat with a long deep red shirt with black pants and a hidden weapons on her belt. She also had waist length black hair and had amethyst purple eyes. She was smiling as the prince replied it is fine, my name is Dor-. He was cut off before he could finish.
"Oh we know who you are Dorian." A voice said from the shadows with the same kind of accent.
"Or should we call you prince." The woman said in front of them.
"Who are you?" the Prince asked.
"Oh my apologies the name is Captain Nightshade. She said with a wicked smile.
"Why do you care for me Captain?" The Prince asked.
"Well wouldn't you like to know?" The captain said leaning in towards the Prince.
"Stand back!" Pryia yelled pointed the tip of her sword towards the Captains neck. Captain nightshade held up her arms in a defeated way then she smirked and said you should really watch your back. They turn around to find about seven other men then a man walked out of the shadows.
"What do you want?" Pyria demanded.
"We want to help but if you would rather swim to the Red Keep that's fine by me." Captain nightshade said.
"Why would you want to help us?" Kalin asked.
"Let's say it's a favor. Now are you going to come or not?" The Captain stated.
"We will come but if you try anything I will personally kill you myself." Pyria said sticking her sword into her neck drawing blood. The Captain's men move closer. Kalin gulped and said Pyria stop you're going get us killed."
"I wouldn't want any other way, let's go!" The Captain yelled to her men. She turned and walked off.
"Well this will be fun." Kalin said.
The man in the shadows put a knife to Pyria throat and said don't ever threaten my Captain and more importantly my dear sister. We all stared in shock after he said that he turned and left.
"How did he sneak up on us?" Orist asked.
"I don't know." Kaston said still in shock.
"Well we shouldn't keep them waiting." The prince said walking off. They saw a ship that was painted black. They walked towards it and saw Captain Nightshade giving orders. Her bother looked like his twin looking at their backs. They both had black hair and the same stance but their eyes were different her were purple and full of hope while his brothers were a dark brown and full of despair. She had a look of joy and the brother had the look of hatred.
"Welcome aboard the Black Swan." She said with a wicked smile.
