The Dragon Stone

Chapter 17

They reached the spot where the howl came from and the place looked like a bomb went off. The trees were all broken and there was blood everywhere.

"What happened here?" Kaston asked.

"I don't know but we should look around." Pyria told her. They look around and found some bloody fur on the bushes. They heard a soft growl coming from the darkness. They prepared for a fight but what came from the darkness surprise them. It was Kalin and she was cut and blooded.

"Kalin is that you?" Pyria asked. Kalin stumble towards them.

"Yes it is me." Kalin said in a raspy voice.

"What happened here?" Kaston asked.

"I was hunting like I said but then an arrow came from nowhere and that is when some mercenaries attacked me so I killed them." Kalin replied.

"Why did they attack you?" Pyria asked her.

"Well, I have apparently many enemies to know for sure but we should return before Dorian come after us." Kalin told them.

"I mean he would do anything to for the one he loves." She said looking at us. A blush crept up on Pyria face.

"Why you-." Pyria said chasing after her. We made it back with three rabbits and one deer. We began to cook and eat.

"We will arrive at the Red Keep by tomorrow." Mr. August told them.

"Great, let's get some sleep then." Dorian said to them. Kalin saw the same fog that was in that nightmare.

"What do you want now?!" Kalin yelled at the fog. The fog shifted into a dragon. It had golden scales, two giant horns that are twisted and had big silted eyes. Kalin stood there in pure fear. It turned its head towards her.

"You have not listen to me, young kin-slayer." The dragon stated.

"How have I not listen?" Kalin asked.

"You are a foolish child but listen to me now, there are traitors in your mists." The dragon warned her. The dragon started to disappear and Kalin woke with a started. Kalin looked around. The fire was still going, everyone had their tents up. The sun was coming into view so they need to get up. Kalin went around waking everyone and they had their tents up and fire out in least then five minutes. They began their trek to the Red Keep. They has to go through thorns bushes but finally made it. The Keep is made out of red bricks and the gated are made out of some black wood. They wake up to the gate and they are stopped by some guards.

"Halt, we are looking for someone and no one can enter without a cause." The guard said to them.

"Well we have business with the King." Dorian told them.

"No matter, you can't go in." the guard said sternly.

"Even if it was the Kings nephew asking to go in." Dorian said. The guard looked startled.

"You are allowed in." the guard said and opened the gate.
