Kalin was escorted into a small visitor bedchamber in the castle by Kaston, the brother of Pyria. He had walked beside her for several minutes without saying a word and she could not remember him talking the entire day. When he opened the door for her to the bedchamber Kalin asked, "Are you mute? Can you talk??"
Kaston smiled slightly and said, "Kalin, we leave early in the morning. I know you will be tempted to run during the night. You can and you will probably make it and you will survive by stealing what you can where you can. Or you could show up at the stable in the morning and go with us and give your life reason."
Kain was taken aback by this and thought hard on this as she looked around the chamber. It was small but well furnished. She was tired and went to bed, after all it was going to be a long day. She drifted off to sleep. She looked around her surrondings. "I am in a dream though it feels as if it were real." She said to herself. "I know this place but from where." She continued to walk through the mist as it was forming into a village. It looked so peaceful then a young girl ran past her yelling "daddy, daddy." running towards a man who looked like her. They looked so happy but the mist was changing. It form the village again but it was in flames. It took Kalin's breath away. "Who would destroy such a peaceful place?" she asked herself. Then a man's army came into view. The young girl and her father were running towards the river. Kalin followed, the army ran around setting fire everywhere in the village. The girls arm was badly burn. The father reached the river. "Don't forget your family and home and remember I love you." He said crying. Then a man with a huge axe was behind them. "No" Kalin said running towards them. He throw the girl into the river just as the man reached him and he lifted the axe and sliced through him. The man look at Kalin and his eyes had a vicious hatred then he went back toward the burning town. "Why, did it not go after the girl, why would it do this?" Kalin asked looking back at the burning village. A tear rolled down her cheek.
The mist was changing again. "I just want to wake up!" Kalin pleaded. It change to a forest. Kalin looked around at her surroundings, she spotted the girl at the river bank. She laid there unconscious, Kalin walked over to her and tried to touch her and she just turned into mist and reformed back. "Ok, no touch." Kalin said. The girl began to stir. She looked around. "Where am I?" she asked herself. "That's what I would like to know too." Kalin said. The girl tried to get up but her arm was badly burned. "Ow!" she almost yelled. After a few tries, she was able to stand. "Gods, this hurts." She commented. She began to walk around. There were rustling of the bushes and people were approaching then it all disappeared. "What, wait what happened to the girl?" Kalin yelled. Then she woke form that horrible dream. She couldn't shake the thought of her knowing that man and young girl. "I need to begin preparations for today." She said. That dream never left her mind that day or the coming days.
