Havoc : Chapter Three : Amnesia

My mate is dead.

I just know it, if he'd been alive I would've found him by now. I know I was ready since the day I'd turned. So he has to be dead, I knew in my heart that Xander was supposed to be my mate.

And so tonight was the night, the night that I'll infiltrate Golden Arrow.

I was leaving the kids, they were more capable of taking care of themselves, I'd trained them to do so. I was going to slowly get through to that disgusting excuse for a pack, slowly and surely I'd work my way around so that they'll trust me. Then kill them all, for the sake of my sanity. I'd done my research so I knew exactly where I had to go, far up South, where the most vicious of packs known in the Lycaon world resided. I knew exactly how to maneuver my way around the neutral grounds, avoiding other nearby packs.

I glanced down at the small cylinder vial in hands, I'd made unscented wolfsbane and stored it in the glass vial that now laid in my hands, safely secured. I was going to swallow it, if I'd stored it anywhere else but, then I was sure to get caught. I made sure it was closed properly and then tilted my head up towards the sky, chin up and stuffed it down my throat, I winced as I felt it travel and travel till it reached my stomach,I walked out of the house as quietly as I could and a voice stopped me.

"Where are you going?",Ethan's voice broke the deafening silence.

Ethan's forest green eyes were piercing into my ice blue ones, he was always the more quiet and practical of all of the children, he acted more mature than he actually was.

"Away...I'll be back.",I smiled tightly and he sat on the step never ceasing to break eye contact with me, tilting his head to the side he spoke, "Liar...you aren't even sure are you?"

This time a somewhat real smile broke out on my face, I walked towards him and ruffled his hair. "I'll be back...",I repeated with more determination now, I was coming back. I was sure of it, very sure.

"I see it...the revenge and hatred you have for the pack who killed ours. You loved Xander too didn't you?",he muttered softly but I heard every single word loud and clear.

I looked down at the ground,"You're way smarter and observant than you appear to be Ethan."

He shrugged standing up and dusting his pants off, "I get that allot. Just promise me you'll return to us..."

"I will, I swear it.",I proclaimed and he narrowed his eyes at me, "Somehow I feel as if you'll break that 'oath'."

"I promise I won't...now be a man and take care of your sisters and the others okay?",I whispered and I saw his eyes glistened.

"I knew you were going to abandon us someday, are we that annoying that you have to-"

"No, it's not like that. I love you all and it's just this is something that I have to do.",my voice cracked and my face was suddenly wet, I hadn't cried in...months? a year or two?

Turning to my wolf I paced into the forest, leaving my family behind, the travel was long, I made sure not to eat or drink anything so that bringing up the vial would be easier. The run was a tiring one, when I'd reached their borders finally after three days of running.

I took a deep breath and crossed it, stepping one foot into their lands. I wandered into the forest and then I heard a growl behind me, spinning my head around I pretended to whimper and bowed my head in submission. I wasn't going to physically fight. The moon peeked through the trees as if she was shaking her head at me.
