Havoc : Chapter Ten : Unrequited Fervor
Dario PoV
It was three in the morning, everyone was sleeping and here I was sitting out in the park staring into the forest like some sad lone wolf.
"You kind of are?",Audric scoffed at me.
I didn't bother to argue with my wolf because I probably was right.
"Am...",he corrected.
I was brought out of my thoughts by an angelic voice, "Can I sit?"
I glanced up and two pairs of eyes made for, I was staring into the most beautiful shade of blue eyes I'd ever seen in my entire life. "Adelaide.", her name rolled off my tongue easily. My wolf's ears perked up and he was trying to fight me to get a good look at her.
"Come on you had your turn!",he growled angrily.
I let him get a peek at her then pushed him back, before I frightened the poor girl. To be honest for some reason I didn't buy the weakling act she was putting off. She was holding back her power as I stared into her eyes. She looked away from me after a few seconds and fiddled with her fingers. She took a seat on the bench and looked up at the darkened sky, "Max is your best friend isn't he?"
"Yes... why?",was my quick response.
She spared me a quick glance and then adverted her gaze to the floor, tucking a few loose strands of her hair behind her ear and then turned to me, I caught a whiff of her cinnamon and vanilla scent.
My wolf's eyes widened and it was like he was scratching at the surface to get out, to smell more. Her scent was intoxicating and I wanted more, and if I had to be honest with myself I'd say the thoughts running through my wolf's and I's head wasn't something I'd quite object to. I think right then and there... I think I lost control and before I could help myself my wolf took over my human form and leaned forward snaking my hands around her waist and pulling her on top of me, straddling me.
My lips brushed hers. Not innocently, like a tease but hot, fiery, passionate and demanding. I wanted to pull away before I lose myself but I already did...In this intense moment, my senses have been seduced and I can no longer think straight.
"Dario.", she whispers slowly, prolonging each letter as if to savor them. I smile, my heart fluttering at her lovely voice as I clasp my hands on either side of her face. Never before has my name ever felt so wonderful on another woman's tongue. When our lips made contact it was like pure euphoria, as if I was on cloud nine. It was a slowly yet demanding open mouthed kiss that tasted of my cigarettes and her minted mouth, the kiss lasted more than a minute. We parted slightly for air I leaned in for another... The funny thing was that she kissed me back both times but half way through our second little rendezvous, to my chagrin she pushed at my chest, climbing off of me and covering her lips with her right hand as if she couldn't believe that had just happened. Her expression was pure shock, repulsive even.
~4 days later ~
I'm so sad, like I'm so pathetic, it's been at least four days since she'd left me.
Wait what the hell? We weren't even together! I hate this! Why is this happening Moon Goddess? Is this some sort of punishment!? Is this payback or karma!?
