Hensley PoV

*3 days later*

I sat down at the dinner table, rolling my eyes at every time Derek flirted with my mom.
Derek was my moms 5 month boyfriend.
He just got back from his work trip from California so decided to come suprise us with a dinner...well mainly my mom.
I never liked Derek.
He's just so annoying and irritating
My mom say I should warm up to him...but doing that is not my plan.
I kept rolling my fork around on my plate, messing with my food.
I looked at my watch on my wrist to see it was 8:00.
Autumn Was going to be here any minute to come and get me to take me to the fair.

Hattie:Hensley why do you keep looking at your phone??(mad) you haven't said one word to Derek

Hensley:Hi derek(smiles sarcastically) and mom can I go out tonight??

Hattie:since you want to be sarcastic and have a attitude?? No

Hensley:mom please??

Hattie:what did I say??(mad)

Derek:let her go baby.....I'm sure she did all her homework and studying (smiles)

I was confused to why Derek was trying to be nice to me.
Normally he always agrees with my mom about things.

Hattie:you sure??

Derek:yes...besides Hayden is asleep so we can catch up on that movie we started watching

My mom hesitated for a little but gave in.

Hattie:fine Hensley but I mean it when I say come home at 12

I smiled.

Hensley:thanks...

After I said that the door bell rung so I knew that was autumn.
I jumped out my seat and ran over to kiss my mom before heading out the door....

*Fair*

When we got to the fair it was jam packed.
People was everywhere.
I was walking next to Hazel,Yasmin, and Autumn.

Autumn:this is going to be so much fun(smiles)

Yasmin:it better be,I snuck out the house just to come

We all laughed.

Hazel:so where are the boys??(looks around)

Autumn:I don't know Quees told me he would meet us in the front(looks around)

We stopped at the entrance of the park and waited.
I started looking around to see if I spotted the boys,but I didn't.
After a couple seconds autumn screamed and started running.
I was confused to what was happening but then saw autumn run up to Quees and jump on him.
I just laughed.
We walked up to them.

Quees: sorry we late but tae ass wanted to stop and get something to eat

Tae:I was hungry like a bitch(rubs tummy)

I kept trying to look down when I saw Bryson looking at me.
I ain't gone lie he was so cute, but the last time I saw him or spoke to him is when he saved me the other night from dying.
I guess Hazel and the others noticed how we wasn't talking so they broke the silence.
