“Tracie,Tracie,I'm home.I got you some chocolate,” Momma said as she entered Tracie's room. She went nearer to Tracie's bed and nudged her slightly. Tracie opened her eyes slowly and sent a small smile to Momma. Momma told her to take a bath before coming down for dinner. Tracie did as she was told.

Tracie took a shower before putting on her comfortable panda onesie- Momma never allows her children to wear onesies unless they are sick. Tracie checked her phone and realised that she had not informed her friends that she was not coming to school. Yikes! They sure are mad at her, judging from the number of texts they sent to her.

Where are you? -Lily

I hope you are well, missed you at lunch :* -Shawna

HONEYPIE why were you not at school? You missed out so much, text me when you're alive -Cleo

HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!I THOUGHT I WAS YOUR FRIEND YET YOU LEFT ME TO FACE MR FROSH ALL ON MY OWN!I HOPE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE TOMORROW MORNING SO I CAN HIT YOU -Hayley

jk i wont hit you probably a smack maybe -Hayley

Mr. Frosh was Tracie's Mathematics teacher. And Hayley could not go through his lesson without falling asleep and Tracie would have to nudge her. She probably missed out half of his lesson hence the text. Tracie laughed at the antics of her friends. She typed a reply:

I was sick,see you tomorrow,hope you had a fun day,Love you -Tracie

And sent it all to her beloved friends. Her stomach made a grumbling noise that she knew all too well. Time for dinner!

Dinner tonight was fried chicken. The Jones totally love fried chicken. They could eat it everyday but Papa always make sure they eat fried chicken moderately. He would often say, “Look at the amount of oil it has!” which would always make the rest of them feel bad about it and eat it sparingly.

Tracie sat down at the dining table and Momma gave her a chicken wing- her favourite part of the chicken. The usual dinner conversation went on until Momma tells everyone to stop talking with their mouths full. It was a bad habit that the Jones had, well except for Momma.

After eating more of the chicken, and a bit of fighting with Willow for the other wing- which Tracie won, Tracie decided to excuse herself. Gramps reminded her to take her medicine before going to bed.

Tracie went to her room and chose her outfit for tomorrow. After ironing them, she checked her schedule. The whole time groaning because the idea of school irks her. Finally after ensuring everything is ready she went to bed.

Tracie awoke to sounds of some sort of tapping at her balcony door. She was frightened to say the least. Especially since her brain decided that it was the perfect time to recall all the horror movies she had ever watched. The tapping was not stopping.

Mustering up her courage, she decided to check the noise. Carefully she pulled her curtains a little and she saw Alexander, standing at his balcony which was filled with pots of fern, ready to throw another pebble. She quickly tried to make herself looked presentable but to no avail.Blowing away strands of hair that was in her face, she opened her balcony door and was greeted by the cold evening air. And a pebble to her shoulder.

Shock was obvious on her face. Alexander's face was filled with horror and was apologising, well mouthing the words sorry since it was ... 3 in the morning. Tracie just shrugged it off and sent a questioning look at him.

“I'm sorry,” he half-whispered, “for just now and for my behaviour in the car.”

Tracie grabbed her sketchbook and pen that was lying on the table and wrote

IM SORRY

(Tracie has always been bad at mouthing words.) and showed it towards Alexander, who just let out a little laugh and shook his head.He mouthed “get well soon and sweet dreams” And with that he entered his room and lights went off in an instant.

Which left Tracie astonished for she did not expect a guy like Alexander would be so sweet to apologise. She went in to her room and laid down on her bed. She had this warm feeling inside her as she recalled that he wished her sweet dreams. She went back to sleep with a smile.
