Tracie entered her house as she hummed happily. She was happy that Max is interested in Lily for Lily had once said in the near past how fun it would be if Lily were to be his date to prom and so on.
She greeted Momma and Papa in the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. She gulped it down and went straight to her bedroom. She put down her bag and got into comfortable clothes. Seeing that she had no homework for the day, she decided to look for prom dress inspiration online. She browsed websites to websites about dresses and gave up when she thought every single one of the dress was The 'One' for her.
She went to the balcony,in hopes of catching a glimpse of Alexander. And there he was, relaxing with Grim(A Collection Of Dark Fairy Tales Retelling) edited by Christine Johnson. She smiled and decided to call him like they had done before.
Alexander's phone rang and he checked it before looking over to Tracie's balcony. He nodded and gave a smile; a barely genuine smile. He answered the call.
"Hey Xander! How was your day?" Tracie asked as she leaned over the balcony.
"Quite good," Alexander answered as he looked back to his book.
"Aren't you excited for prom? It is in TEN days,' Tracie shrieked.
"Jeez keep it down Tracie," Alexander answered, annoyance was clear in his voice.
"Oh sorry, just excited and all," Tracie said as she rubbed the back of her neck.
"Are we done? I need to sleep early." And without waiting for her reply, Alexander hung up and went into his room.
Tracie was astonished. She thought that maybe Alexander was on his man-period therefore the attitude. But then again, people do get easily annoyed with her.
She entered her room back and just broke down. It was just one of those moments where you just want to cry. Tracie felt bad that Alexander was somehow mad at her but she had no idea why. She decided to ask him tomorrow, after she slept over her feelings. She continued to cry and ensured that there were no more tears before snuggling into bed and sleep.

D-09 → PROM
Tracie woke up early and got ready for school. She decided to make a small breakfast takeaway for both Alexander and herself. The takeaway consists of apple juice and a granola bar. Once Tracie was happy with how things look, she went out and waited for Alexander at her doorstep. She sat down and took out her book and read and read and read.
Alexander finally got out of his house and gestured with his head towards Tracie to get in his car. Tracie got into his car and handed him his takeaway.
"Breakfast is the most important part of the day," Tracie said as if she was starring in an ad.Alexander mumbled a "thanks" and Tracie decided to start talking.
"Are you okay?" Cliche but straight to the point.
"I'm fine like why would I not be?" Alexander said, sarcasm dripping out from his words.
"Chill, I just asked because I care," Tracie said as she let out a sigh. The school was now in sight.
"You want to know if I'm fine?" Alexander asked, "Tell me how can I be fine when my girlfriend was hugging some guy on her driveway. Oh and let's not forget how they talked and laughed." Alexander burst out as he continued to keep his eyes on the road.
"What? That was Ma-" Tracie tried explaining.
"Save it for someone who cares. My eyes don't deceive me," Alexander said as he parked in the parking lot, "Now if you would please get out of my car because I have school."
Tracie was taken aback and got out of the car. She immediately went straight to the toilet and the tears just flowed down. Shawna noticed her and followed her. Shawna entered the toilet to see her friend crying on the floor. Shawna went to her and consoled her.
Girl Rule #6472: Don't ask,just comfort.
Tracie just cried and cried her nose was red. Shawna supplied her with tissue and continuously rubbed her back. Her gut feeling was telling her that it has something to do with her friend's love life.
Tracie finally stopped crying when assembly was almost over. Shawna had stayed by her the whole time. Tracie tried to make herself looked better and Shawna said that the girls are always with her and hopes that she tells them during lunch.
