Chapter 11: Chores

Tracie finally went to bed after she was happy with her plan. She had to be up early tomorrow to help Momma do some marketing. Then she would have to do her part in cleaning the house. She drifted to sleep from tiredness of thinking how tired she would be after tomorrow ends

Momma woke her up at 5AM. Tracie woke up after much nagging from Momma and a cup of ice cold water. Tracie is a morning person during the weekdays but on weekends she basically wakes up at 2PM,with her motto 'Its morning until 3 on weekends". So after taking a shower that woke her up a little,she dressed not to impress because, let's be real, who dresses up to go marketing? She got ready and went to the kitchen to eat something light.

Momma and Tracie reached the market at around 6AM. Momma dragged Tracie around the market because Tracie wanted to wait in the corner. But Momma needs all the hands she could get. When Tracie asks why Momma did not ask the boys to help, she replied by saying that Tracie is a girl therefore she has to know how to do marketing and yada yada.

They left the market at 7AM. Tracie is finally feeling more awake and decided to ask Momma to drop her off at the park. She had just wanted to wake her mind up so that she could do her chores properly later on. Momma lets her on one condition; She must be back by 8AM for they had loads to do.

Momma dropped her off and went straight home. Tracie walked to the bench, taking deep breaths along the way. She reached the bench and did some stretches.She sat down and decided to check for any notes. There was!

She took the note and read it.

Hey thanks for the advice. {NO SARCASM} how's life going for you? I hope your relationship with your friends are still good. Good to know you bring writing materials to a park. you sure are interesting. Do you come here everyday because I do hahaha have a good day -Mr. Anonymous

Magically she was smiling and felt awake. Could it be she may have fallen in love in handwriting?

She immediately wanted to write a reply but she realises she did not bring any writing materials. She cursed under her breath and decided to leave the note there so that Mr. Anonymous would think she had not read it and would not feel disheartened. Typical Tracie, putting others' feelings before hers.

She made her way home with a heavy heart because she wanted to keep the note. She reached home and checked the chore that Momma had allocated for her. In fact, Momma had gave each of the Jones a chore. She had put it in ink and paper and pasted it at the refrigerator's door.

Todd - Dusting the bookshelves

Adam & Julian - Cleaning of toilets

Tracie - Sweeping the floors

Willow & Lucille - Cleaning up after playing their toys

Papa & Gramps - Trim the lawn
