The four Pevensies made their way to Beruna, where they hoped they would find Caspian safe and sound.
They all had put on the outfits they had when they had saved Trumpkin from drowning.
They were walking in the woods, Peter in front, then Lucy, followed by Susan, and then Edmund. Susan and Edmund were the most worried. Susan was worried about Caspian, maybe he was a hostage of a hag and a werewolf and if he was they would already have taken his blood to resurect the White Whitch. Susan still had feelings for Caspian. Edmund, him, was worried about the Whitch. She must want to kill them all, Caspian included, and mostly him. She would probably kill him on the Stone Table, even thoght it was broken.
"Ed?" Susan asked.
"Yeah?"
"You know, I'm worried too, and I think you know what about."
"Yeah, Caspian, I guess."
"Yes, do you think he's safe?"
"I'm now sure the White Whitch is back. She was given human blood by hags or werewolves, but, I thought about it again and, maybe the blood isn't Caspian's. It might be another Telmarine's. I didn't think about it before, I guess I was used to being the only humans on Narnia's side, us and Caspian." Edmund confessed.
"Oh, I do hope so... Not that I want any Telmarine harmed or anything, Ijust want Caspian safe!"
"Hurry up!" shouted Peter, who was in front of them. "We almost lost you two, what are you doing? You better hurry up or you will only have done half the way to the castle while Lucy and me will already be with Caspian!"
Edmund and Susan looked at each other and smiled.
Once they reached Beruna, Telmarines started crowding the streets to be able to see them. The kings and queens were soon thrown petals of flowers and the Telmarines cheered.
"Long live King Peter! Long live Queen Susan! Long live King Edmund! Long live Queen Lucy!" they yelled.
"Peter! Susan! Edmund! Lucy!" a familiar voice called.
They all turned around, knowing it was Caspian's.
"Caspian!" Susan cried, of joy, obviously.
She hurried to him and they kissed passionatly. Then, they pulled away from each other and smiled.
"I love you..." whispered Caspian.
"I love you too..." answered Susan.
"I never fought you would come back all together so soon!" Caspian said, looking at the other three.
"Neither did we..." trailed off Edmund.
"Well, it's such a surprise!" exclaimed Caspian.
"As for us!" added Lucy.
"Well, since we're back, what's wrong here? Something must be wrong." asked Peter.
"Winter arrived early, very early, a Telmarine has been attacked and he lost some blood. I don't know why his agressor wanted his blood and-" started Caspian.
"Oh, no..." whispered Edmund, suddenly getting very pale.
"What's going on?" asked Caspian.
"Well, you see before our golden age, well..." started Lucy.
"Lu, go on with Susan and tell him the story, I'll have a chat with Ed." ordered Peter, giving Edmund a reassuring smile. "Come on Ed..."
Edmund sighted and followed Peter in the castle. Peter went to Edmund's room, who was following him. Once they got there, Peter started talking.
"Ed, you know you can't let the people know your fears." Peter said, putting a comforting hand on his brother's shoulder. "You have to stay strong, never forget that. You're the one who will have to kill her, to prove her you're stronger than her. I don't think she should know you're afraid of her, you have to hide it from her, pretend she doesn't scare you."
"I'm sorry, I just can't help it..." Edmund said, putting his head down.
"Ed, you have to trust us, Aslan, and yourself. That's the only thing you'll need, don't worry, we're all with you, supporting you."
"Thanks, Pete. I still am scared of her anyway..." Edmund confessed, smiling weakly.
"I know you are." Peter smiled sadly.
Then, they both headed to Caspian's room where Caspian greeted them, adressing a sad smile to Edmund. Edmund felt a cold breeze on his neck, the only reason him and his siblings didn't put a coat on was to show their people they didn't fear the Whitch's power. But he had to assume that he did fear the White Whitch.
"I guess she's back, then." said Susan.
"She is." Peter added.
What did you think? I really hope you like it!
The next chap will be longer, I hope...
love you!
