"First of all Bailey and I are nothing. She just came onto me and I let her. She means nothing to me. It's the first time she's-well we have done something like that." He says, looking down at his hands on the table. He spoke to me as if we were more than friends. Why? I just nodded. Till this day I can't explain why the whole Jacob and Bailey thing bothered me. I didn't want to make it seem as if I cared when i really did. I shouldn't care about who my boss is being too friendly with, but I did an I hated how it was Bailey. "Say something, please." He says looking into my eyes. "Well what do you want me to say?" I ask, not wanting to tell him how I really felt. He wouldn't care anyways. "Anything. I don't know, you just seemed really bothered by it. You've even been avoiding me for the past 2 days. That's not good because I'm your boss. I could have fired you." He says as I just look at him. "Then why didn't you." I ask, I really wanted to know this. "Because y/n, I couldn't," he nervously swallowed. "I don't want to." Some thing's that Jacob says makes me think, maybe he does feel something. But then again he always tried to play if off. "You are one of my best workers so I can't fire you." Yeah I knew it. I shouldn't be upset about the whole Bailey thing. I have no reason to be. He's not mine and I'm not his simple as that. These feeling I have for him have to end before I dig myself deeper into this. "Ok. Just do me a favor Mr. Sartorius." I say. "Anything." He spoke, leaning on his elbows. "Tell Bailey to calm her shit or I'll do it for her." I spoke. He looked at me confused then suddenly realized. He shook his head. "Thanks for lunch." I say with a smile getting up from the booth walking out of this restaurant.
