Today is the day of Jacob's event and I'm kinda nervous. I was in my bedroom looking at the dress and necklace once more. I loved how he had thought about me when buying this, but after tomorrow night it had to go back to him being my boss nothing else. As much as I wanted him to be mine I knew it couldn't go to far. I had a few hours before I had to get ready so I took a long, warm bath. After relaxing for a few minutes I decided to shave. I was about to get out anyway and I didn't want to do it later. I thought about what Jacob had said when he said that he already told "them" I was coming with him. Who did he say that to? It shouldn't matter to me anyway. I shook my head and got out of the tub wrapping a towel around my body. My phone rang and I saw Loren's name on my screen. "Hello." I say, putting it on speaker. "Please tell me it's true." She says, not even saying hi. "Is what true, Loren?" I ask, throwing on a big t-shirt. "You and Mr. Sartorius. I've heard you and him are getting pretty close." I could tell she had the biggest smirk. "No I'm just doing him a favor." I say, straightening my hair. "A favor, hmm." "Loren please." I say rolling my eyes. "This favor you are doing for him isn't going to end after tonight trust me." I hope it doesn't. "It will Loren. He's my boss." I look at myself in the mirror. I don't want it to and I don't know why. "Just be careful ok. Don't get to deep into this...or do." She says laughing. "Alright Loren. I got to finish getting ready. I'll see you at work." I say with a smile. "Ok bye." She says, hanging up. After talking to her I do my makeup. Nothing dramatic, I just went for the simple look. Why do I feel nervous about seeing him tonight? I always see him at work, what's so different now?
