On New Years Eve I sit in my room with my diary and prepare for the long and loud night ahead. The boys are setting up the living room for their guests and I'm preparing for a night alone in my room. Nothing I have a problem with actually. My entries are beginning to get spaced out further and further with more and more time between the last entries I've written. I want to get caught up on everything I've so far missed.

At 7:00 I hear a knock on my closed bedroom door and Niall enters. Their company is supposed to be arriving around 7:30 and he should be making sure everything is in perfect condition.

"Are you ready?" Niall asks gliding over to me.

"For what?"

"For New Years. You're my date remember? You agreed after all."

"Niall, I thought I said no. Besides, I don't want to be an interference..." I say looking for excuses.

"Oh don't be like that! You're not interfering on anything." I shut my diary closed quickly as he leans over my shoulder. A habit I got into when Hayden continuously tried to find my diary when I was like twelve.

"Niall, do you really want me around all night?" I put my arms around his neck and look into his deep blue eyes.

"Yeah, I do." Niall replies giggling, "And you better be there because I don't want to be the only one without a date."

"Well, maybe you should of asked someone." I tease. Niall rolls his eyes.

"I did and you agreed."

I sigh and think about it. Being in a room with all the boys and their girlfriends including Eleanor. I'm kind of afraid to be in the same room as her again and that's really what I'm trying to avoid but I can see how much this means to Niall.

"Please?"

"You're going to have to make a pretty good argument as to why you want me there." I say turning around and looking at my reflection in the mirror. If he wants me that badly he better tell me exactly why and it better be good.

"I want you there because you're my maple baby, I want you everywhere with me, and it's hard enough to go four nights without having my arms wrapped around you, at least give me tonight." He wraps his arms around my waist and rests his chin in the crook of my neck.

"Good enough." I reply with a sigh, knowing I did agree, and Nialls eyes light up. "Just let me change and I'll be right out." Niall nods quickly and smiles. "We are going to dominate at the board games!"

"We better because I don't like to loose and you're going to be my good luck charm."

"That's what leprechauns are for." Niall guffawes. I laugh loudly and push him out with a wave goodbye. As if I actually agreed to this. Looking towards my closet I pull out a sparkly silver loose sweater, black leggins with pleather up the side, and a blue scarf. I pucker the sleeves up to my elbows, pile a few bracelets on both my arms and clip my stilll damp hair in a half up, half down style. I quickly spray in some product and crimp my hair with my hands so it continues to dry curly and then I look at myself in the mirror. For the first time in forever my grandmothers silver bracelet catches my eye. The one I wear all the time. I haven't really looked at it in forever and it shines nicely piled with my others.

I spray some perfume on my neck lightly and take in the light, floral scent. With one last glance in the mirror I nod and walk out of my room to the night ahead I did not plan.

"You look beautiful." Niall says kissing my cheek where I applied blush a few moments ago.

"Thanks. You look quite handsome yourself." I look at him in his white button down and beige pants. Damn, I have a hot date.
