The Exchange

Chapter 18

The boys and I walked out of the park an hour later, grinning from ear to ear. I can definitely say that was the best walk I have ever been on!

"That was amazing guys! Thank-you so much!"

"Thank Harry. It was his idea." Niall says, turning to me . I turn to Harry and wrap my arms around his neck from behind.

"Thank-you Harry! This was so amazing!" I whisper in his ear. I can see him smile.

"I'm just glad you enjoyed it." Harry says. I let go of him and head for his car.

"Mira wait!" Liam says, stopping me before I open the car door. He walks over to me and picks up my hand.

"You're coming with me!" he says excitedly and jokingly seductively.

"Oh, and where are you taking me?" I ask in the same way. Liam winks at me. I can feel myself melting in his hand! Oh how I love it when guys wink!

I let Liam lead me to Louis car. He opens the back door for me and I climbed in, swinging my legs in last. I see Harry, Niall and Zayn staring as Liam shuts my door for me and climbs into the front passenger seat that should of been for the driver. I wave to the other boys outside. Harry sees me and waves back as he climbs into the drivers side. The other boys simply shrug and get in the car as Harry starts the engine.

Louis turns the key in the ignition of his car and backs out of his parking space.

"So where are we going Liam?" Louis whispers quietly.

"Don't worry about that. Just follow my directions." Louis nods and Liam spits out directions to an unknown destination. This time I don't feel nervous though. I feel a bit of trust in my guides and relax in the back seat of the car, waiting to arrive upon our destination.

Louis turns into the parking lot of a tall beige building. I look up at the building puzzled at what this could be.

"This was a really smart choice Liam. You're creative for thinking of it!" Louis says, approving where we are for once.

"Thanks Lou! It took me a while to come up with it though." he says under his breath. Where are we?

Louis gives Liam a nod before pushing open his door. I get out too and look at Liam suspiciously.

"You have no idea where we are right?" he asks. I shake my head.

"Good."

"Are you not going to tell me?" I ask, fake surprised. Actually I am surprised that he won't tell me but I overplay it in my voice.

Liam takes a step closer to me so our faces are inches away.

"You have to promise you won't be mad if you don't like it."

"I promise." I say but why wouldn't I like it? I'm pretty open to anything today. Liam takes a deep breath before he answers me.

"We are going..." Liam pauses for effect, "to play..." why does he keep doing this? this pause is extra long but after a few beats he finally finishes his sentence, "laser tag." He uses his hands as a big finish, making them open like fireworks.

"Laser tag?" I ask. Louis is right, this is creative.

"You don't like it?" Liam asks. It took me a moment to realize he seriously thinks I don't like it. Oh I am so playing this.

"Liam..." I say seriously, grabbing the back of his neck. We are standing so close my heart is beating faster than usual. Liam's expression changes to disappointment for a moment that definitely confirms my suspicion. I can't help it anymore. A smile spreads across my face and breaks my role.
