Lily PoV

I was released from the Hospital Wing one week later, at the morning of Halloween.  I felt sorry, because I left the other prefects alone with the decorations for the party. But Remus assured me more than once that it was okay and I should rest. When I passed a knight's armour it suddenly came to live and threw candy at me while shouting: "Happy Halloween!" "Thanks, to you too", I replied. Then I entered the common room and found nearly all Gryffindors sitting there. All except the marauders. What were they up to? I couldn't think about it further because Alice hurried towards me and hugged me tightly. "There you are! I missed you so badly!", she exclaimed. "Give her a rest. She's just out of the hospital wing", Grace said, but hugged me too right after Alice had released me. "Do you guys know where the marauders are?", I asked them. "Do you miss Sirius yet?", Alice demanded jokingly. "No, I just wondered what they're up to as they aren't here with the rest", I explained. "They're probably putting their Halloweenprank in action", Grace assumed. "That's what I feared", I said. "Ah c'mon this should be fun!", Grace said excitedly. "Well that's a matter of opinion. But to the important things! Do you have a date for the party?", Alice questioned. "Well not really a date, but I'm going with James", Grace responded. "And you Lily?" "No, not yet", I said sheepishly. "What? I thought Sirius asked you already! At least he told us he'd go with you", Grace narrated. "Well he hasn't spoken to me yet. What about you Al?", I asked. "Frank asked me", she giggled. Frank was a sixth year Ravenclaw, who Alice had a crush on since third year. "Finally!", I shouted. She just blushed and looked to her feet. "What are you talking about?", asked an all too familiar voice from behind us. "You lied to us Siri!", Grace said indignantly, "You said you'd go with Lily, but apperently you haven't even asked her yet!" "Well, I wanted to wait for the right time", he defended himself. "Mate, the party is tonight", James reminded him. "I KNOW!", he shouted. "So Ms. Evans would you honour me with accompany me to the Halloweenparty", he asked formally. "It would be a pleasure, Mr. Black!", I answered in the same tone of voice. "See, I wasn't lying. I'm going with Lily", he smirked.
