Chapter 14

Lily PoV

After getting ready for the party for over two hours we finally stood at the top of the staircase leading to the girls dormitories. Alice was the first to go down cause she was meeting Frank infront of the great hall. Then it was my turn. I slowly paced down the stairs,  smiling at Sirius the whole time. He looked at me in awe and his eyes widened. "Hey", I greeted him. "Wow, you look awesome!", he complimented me. "Thank you." "Shall we?", he asked guiding me through the portraithole to the great hall. There were already many students waiting for the doors to open. At exactly seven o'clock the doors opened and the students floated in. Rubiana and Thomas stood on the podium and opened the party. We actually had managed to get The Weird Sisters to play music for the whole evening. Sirius and I danced for hours before we took a break and drank something. We talked to Grace and James when they suddenly nodded at each other and with a little flick of their wands the dance floor turned into an ice-covered surface. All the students looked shocked, when they slipped and fell onto their butts. The marauders couldn't hold back their laughter and started to slide gracefully on the ice. Then Sirius grabbed my hand and dragged me onto the ice. "You know it's just October, do you? Because the ice would suit better at Christmas", I reminded him. "Of course we know, but isn't an ice-covered surface always funny?", he retored. I just laughed at that and we kept dancing on the ice. After several more hours only a few couples were left. The music had changed from fast to slow, but I was fine with it, even if I normally don't like it. Being with Sirius made everything good. "Lily, are you listening?", he suddenly asked. "What? Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts", I replied. "You're quite some girl! I talk to you for minutes and you don't even listen!" I went bright red and asked:" Sorry, could you repeat it?" "Well, mainly I asked you to be my girlfriend, so what do you say?", he demanded. What?! Did this really happend? Did Sirius just asked me to become his girlfriend? The Sirius Black?! "Lily?",he asked nervous. "Yes,definitely yes!", I answered. "Oh thank Merlin! I waited so long for this to happen!", he rejoiced grinning. Then he bend down and kissed me. It was not like any other kiss we shared before. This was a real kiss. And it was the best feeling I ever had. And the it hit me:

I love Sirius Black!
