Lukas nodded with a frown on his face.
"Well I better go, I'm having dinner with Kieran." I said, walking towards the door.
"Wait Rae. I uh, just wanted to apologize for last night. I shouldn't have brought up Sean. And please, don't text him. He's not a good guy, and you know that."
I went over and kissed him on the forehead.
"I love you." I said, as he smiled, and I shut the door behind me.

I got home and it was 5 o'clock. I expected Kieran to be here soon, which was good because I was starving. I took off my shoes and went to brush my hair. Then there was a knock at the door.
"Come on in!" I shouted.
Kieran came in with a bag of takeout in his hand.
"Hey." He said, and kissed me.
We sat down at the table and began eating.
"What's wrong?" He asked, noticing I was barely eating.
"Oh nothing. I'm just thinking about my brother. He starts chemo therapy tomorrow."
He moved his chair behind mine so he could rub my shoulders.
"You know, that's not always a bad thing." He said reassuringly.
I closed my eyes as the rubbed my shoulders.
"Yeah," I moaned softly.
"Hey look at me." He said, and I turned so I was facing him.
"Everything is gonna be fine." He kissed me passionately.
I put my fork down, and put my hand on the back of his neck. He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, then he stood up and held out his had, and I placed it in his.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"So sure." I responded, excited for what was about to happen.
