That morning I woke up to the sun shining through my blinds, and Kieran laying beside me, so peacefully.
I looked at my phone but had no new messages or calls."Morning beautiful." Kieran said, smiling.
I faced him and gave him a kiss.
"Did I wake you?" I asked.
"No no, it's-" he paused looking at the clock.
"Oh, is that the time??" He said.
"10:30? I guess it is."
"Oh man I'm late for practice!" He practically screamed, and hopped out of bed.
"Sorry, these last few practices are crucial since playoffs are right around the corner. I'll come over after okay! Thank you for a great night." He said kissing me on the cheek.
I smiled as I watched him put on his shorts and t-shirt. I threw him his phone, and he was gone.
I laid back in bed and sighed happily. I was really glad things were going well.
I got up and put my hair a messy bun, and put some sweatpants on.
I turned the tv on to my favourite morning game show, the price is right. Since I dropped out of school 3 years ago, I got to do pretty much anything I wanted. I guess now that Lukas was in the hospital I should probably start job hunting though.
I made myself some bacon and eggs and set it down on the table with a glass of orange juice, when there was a knock at the door. Maybe Kieran had forgotten something?
I opened the door, and it was Sean. I couldn't believe my eyes. I hadn't seen him in months and now he was at my front door.
"Hi Raelynn!" He said happily.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked, angrily.
"I was in town and I'd thought come pay you a visit!"
"Well thanks for visiting, you can go now!" I said, trying to shut the door, but he put his hand on it, stopping me.
"Can I come in? I just wanted to catch up." He said.
I thought for a moment.
"10 minutes Sean." I said moving out of the way so he could come in.
He smiled, and took a seat across from mine at the table.
"So how have you been?" He asked.
"Fine." I said taking a bite of my eggs.
"Anything new and exciting going on?"
"Yeah, my brother has cancer and I'm just ecstatic about it." I said rolling my eyes.
"Right right, I saw him last night. He looked well."
Then my phone started ringing, but it was by the stove, so I got up to go get it.
"Don't you dare answer that Raelynn."
He said furiously.
"Sean, it could be about Lukas, I have to answer it."
"I said don't answer it. I was talking to you."
I continued walking towards the phone, when I heard him get up. He was coming towards me angry.
"I said don't answer it. You never listen!" He said pushing me against the counter.
"Sean! It's the hospital please let me answer it!" I picked up the phone.
"No." He said and pushed against the counter again, and he had his hand pushing on my wrist.
"Sean stop. Stop you're hurting me!" I winced in pain.
He kept pushing against me and had his grip on my wrist, then I felt pain and a snap and he pushed me to the ground.
He was on top of me, and he hit my head against the floor, causing me to yelp in pain.
"Sean please!" I managed to say, tears streaming down my face.
I couldn't feel my hand and my head was pounding.
Then, it went black.
