The New Girl

The New Girl-Chapter Two

"Oh my gosh! There is a whole other world right beneath me and I didn't have a clue!" Still in shock obviously, I walked down a pathway and heard squeaking. I looked to my right and saw a group of little white and red creatures playing under a mushroom. A sign says 'please don't feed the slugs' so I'm guessing that these little guys are called slugs.

I walk up the then slowly, wanting to get a closer look. All of them scurry away and hide, except for one. "Hey little guy" I said as I stuck out a hand. The slug made a happy squeak and hopped right into my hand. I almost dropped it when a flame appeared on its head. "Woah! You scared me there little guy!" The slug made a face signaling to me that it was mad. "Little girl?" I asked then she smiled. "Okay little girl, try not to scorch my hand ok?" She squeaked in agreement. "Do you have a name?" She shook her head. "How about, Scorch?!" She smiled and jumped up and down.

"Alright Scorch, do you know of a place for me to stay, because I don't have a house?!" Scorch, now seated on my shoulder squeezed and pointed to a path on my right. I followed her directions to a house that looked like it belonged to somebody rich an famous!

"Woah!, this place is cool!" With my statement, Scorch jumped off of my shoulder, hopped toward the door, and pointed at the doorbell. "Might as well try!" I said.

I rang the doorbell and a girl with orange hair tied back in pigtails answered. "Hi, I'm Trixie, what's your name?"
"I'm Lizzy Hunter and this is my slug Scorch and we are looking for a place to stay because I just got to this place and I don't know where I am?"
Trixie left really quickly but was back just as fast. This time she brought a cute boy with blue-black hair an cerulean blue eyes. He was tall and skinny but also muscular. And he had this cute orange slug on his shoulder.

"Hi, I'm Eli, you must be Lizzy, you said that you just got to this place right?"
"Ya I did just get here and I don't know where I am, do you think I could stay here until I find my own place?"
Eli looked at me and ten at Trixie then back to me. Trixie whispered something into Eli's ear then he said "Ya, you can stay here for as long as you want."

I looked over at Scorch who was looking at me. "Well that was intense!" I said to her. She nodded her head in agreement. I walked into the house. It was huge, an it looked cozy!

"So this will be your room, it's not very big but we usually don't have long term guests." Eli said pointing to an average sized room that was still bigger than my room at home.

"It's great, thank you!"
"You're welcome, make yourself at home and then meet me in the living room in five minutes." Eli said pointing to a sitting area by the front door.
"Ok!"

I looked at Scorch again. What do you think he wants me for?" Scorch just shrugged and hopped onto the bed and fell asleep.

I didn't have to settle much considering I just had myself and Scorch, so I went into the living room. There Eli was waiting, nobody else just him.

"Hi" I said not sure how this was going to go.
"Oh, good you're here! So before, you said that you had just got here, what did you mean by that?"
"Um, well I came from I guess you could say, another world. It's above us! I fell into a hole while on a walk in the woods and then I found this chair and it brought me down here."
"So you're from the surface?"
"Yeah, if that's what you call it!"
"Okay you can't tell ANYBODY about where you come from, I came from the surface too, these two worlds have to stay separate! My dad said that there are too many dangers in both worlds so you have to keep this a secret, ok?'
"Understood! I won't tell a soul, but what about Trixie?"
"The only other people that you can trust and tell is Trixie, Kord, and Pronto, other then them and me don't tell anyone!"
"Got it!, but who's Kord and Pronto"

"Did somebody say my name?" a big muscular blue guy said as he walked in from another room.

"Yes, this is Lizzy and she's going to be staying with us, she's from the surface too.". Eli said introducing me.

"Hi Lizzy, I'm Kord! Glad to have you on board!"
"And you already met me, hi Lizzy!"
"Hi Trixie and it's great to be on board." I was actually really excited!

"And this is Pronto!" Eli said pointing to a short guy that looked like a mole.
"Ahh, not just Pronto, it's Pronto the magnificent! Molenoid tracker at your service!"

"Oh, nice to meet you too Pronto, I'm Lizzy!" I said to the mole man.
"Yup she's going to be staying with us because she's from the surface too!"

"Oh! Another surface dweller! This should be interesting! She needs to get some slugs! So she needs to go out right now and catch some, come on let's go!!"

"Ooh yay! We're going on a slug hunt! Let me just get Scorch!"

"A Flaringo slug, what a great choice!" Pronto said in awe.
"So that's what you are, a Flaringo slug, cool! Her name is Scorch!"
"Cool name!" Trixie said walking over to me and grabbing my arm.
"It's great to have another girl in the group, being stuck with these boys 24/7 is harsh!" Trixie and I laughed.

We walked outside. I looked at my new friends. "Lets go catch some slugs!"
