The New Girl-Chapter Five

"Ok guys tonight's the night, this all has to be perfect!" I said to my slugs.
"Dude I'm not wearing a tux ok, this isn't a wedding it's a date!" Eli said to Kord.
"But bro you like her don't you? Wear the tux!" Kord responded.
"No, I refuse, end of story!" Eli said.
"Well I only have my Slugterra clothes so that's what I'm wearing but my hair has to look good. Should I wear it up or down?" I asked my slugs while looking into my mirror.
They pointed to the ground-down it is.
"Should I have it in a braid or just down?"
They all started to twist around each other saying braid.
"Ok I guess it's a braid!"

Once I was done my hair, which was now a long fishtail braid brought over my left shoulder, I walked out into the living room where Eli was waiting.
*Eli's eyes get big* "I like your hair, it looks really nice!"
"Thank you!"
"So you ready?" Eli asked me.
"Yes I am!"
"Alright let's go, we're taking Lucky." Eli said with a grin on his face.

We hopped onto Lucky, me in the back wearing Eli's helmet because I didn't have one, and we took off.
"Where are we going?" I asked Eli over the sound of Lucky's paws pounding the ground.
"To the meadow, so we can just talk and get to know each other better, then we are going to a midnight movie in the ice caves to see whatever movie you want!" Eli said happily.
"Sounds like an awesome night!"

We arrived at the meadow before sun down. We spread out a blanket that Eli brought and sat down.
"So I already know that you're pretty, funny, outgoing, and good with slugs, but I really like you and I want to know your deepest darkest secrets!" Eli said to me, trying not to laugh at how cheesy he sounded.
" I guess I'll tell you but not because you want to know but because I trust you enough and you have the right to know if we are going to date and all."
"Ok so what is it?" Eli said in curiosity.
"I'm not going to tell you yet, let's get the easier less serious stuff out of the way first!"
"Ok so, what about, your favorite color?" Eli asked me.
"That would have to be yellow! it reminds me of summer! What's yours?"
"Mine is orange, it reminds me of the sun and how every sunrise is a new day full of possibilities and every sunset is a day either left to forget or left to remember." Eli said with passion.
I laughed. Like not just a giggle, I laughed hard. I probably shouldn't have but I did, that was to good!
"That was deep!" I laughed again.
"It was but it's true!" Eli said defending himself, then he started to laugh to.
"Alright what's your favorite things to do? When you're not busy at least." I asked Eli.
"Well I like video games, going for rides with Lucky, hanging out with the rest of the gang, and being wild having fun!" Eli said.
"I love playing video games! I also like to hang out with friends, and just having fun!"
I was laughing with Eli when he stopped an just looked over at me. Eli smiled and then quickly kissed me on the lips, but only for a second. Before I could think I leaned over and kissed him, I wanted it to last longer then a second. We pulled away and smiled as we watched the sunset. Sound to cliche? Well that's what happened, and I like it that way!
"So your deepest darkest secret, you still have to tell me!" Eli said,
completely serious.
"Yes, my secret is...that before I came to Slugterra I had two close friends, Star Jenner and Aleah Gates. But one day Aleah mysteriously vanished and she hasn't been seen since. That was when she was sixteen, now she'd be almost eighteen. People always thought that me and Star did it and we were accused of killing her, but we didn't! Me, Star, and Aleah were like sisters and we would never hurt her! I miss her and Star a lot. I just want to know if Aleah is ok but it's been almost two years and I'm having my doubts." I said almost in tears.
"Woah! That's horrible! You would never hurt anybody, I'd kill whoever thought you did! And you have no idea of where she could be? She just disappeared? That's unlikely, she's probably safe just far away, don't worry we'll find out where she went." Eli said comforting me.
"So what's your secret? I asked Eli.
"Well there are secrets I can't tell you, but only the Shane's family secrets, everything else I can tell you. My biggest secret right now is that I was really nervous to take you out on a date because I wanted it to be perfect and I usually mess things up." Eli said blushing a little.
"This was perfect so don't stress about it, I had a great time!" I said reassuringly.
"Whew, good you were making nervous!" Eli said.

Just as we were about to head to the movies for our midnight show we saw some bushes moving out of the corner of our eyes. A twig snapped and I wrapped my arms around Eli's waist. He looked at me, smiled, then looked back at the bushes. Just then somebody walked out of the bushes and we both had our blasters out in an instant.
"Who are you" Eli asked the female that walked out of the bushes.
"Your girlfriend should know who I am." The girl said.
"Who ARE you?" I said this time.
The girl stepped into the light and I froze, a tear formed in my eye, then I whispered to Eli to go. Looks like our movie would have to wait.
