The New Girl-Chapter 10

First, it's been a while since I've updated but I haven't forgotten about this book and you guys, I've just been super busy. So without further delay here is chapter 10!

I was 10 years old when the dreams began. The sight of an imaginary world crawling with creatures both good and bad. Filled with people and beings not from this world. But amongst it all was me and a few other humans. One of them being him. The boy I've been dreaming of from the very beginning. Eli Shane. He was tall and handsome, strong but skinny, and most of all, loyal. Little did I know that now, 5 years later, I would be held in the arms of this boy from my dreams. It's like I knew him in a past life without myself even knowing. But that's crazy right? Nothing like that could ever happen, not even in my wildest dreams. But it did. It was real, all of it. The imaginary world wasn't so imaginary, the beings and creatures weren't made up, and Eli was most definitely real. As wonderful as this all sounds, I'm scared. Scared of what might happen if I don't escape my prison. I've been living in this world for a long time but I've made it a fantasy world despite all the bad around me. And now, it's time that I wake up.

My eyes opened to a familiar face. Twist. He was standing at the foot of the bed I was in, just watching me. I slowly sat up and took in my surroundings. The room was completely white, like the ones at a hospital. My slugs were in a crate on a table by the door along with my blaster. My clothes were at the end of the bed and that's when I realized I was only wearing a night gown. I quickly covered up myself with the sheets and looked back to where Twist was standing, only he was gone. I felt dizzy and sick to my stomach. I looked out the window to the left of my bed and I saw Eli. Only he was sad and angry, covered in blood and dirt. I jumped out of bed and ran towards the window. I looked all around but Eli was gone too. That's when I woke up again, only this time Twist wasn't there and I didn't see Eli out the window. I slowly got up and got dressed. I grabbed Scorch, Fluttershy, Spike, Bolt, and Tricks, along with my blaster and headed for the door. I took one look back at the window hoping to see Eli standing there, but he wasn't.

I walked out of the room and found myself in a maze of hallways. Guards were coming from each direction, so I climbed a stack of boxes an went into the vents. I crawled toward the outside exit but along the way I went through Dr. Blacks office. That's when I realized where I was. I listened and stayed very quiet.
"We have to make sure that Eli gets in on purpose. And while he's rescuing his helpless girlfriend we'll capture him. Then the master plan will begin" Dr. Black said with a devilish grin on his face.
"Helpless girlfriend?! I am most definitely not helpless considering I'm escaping as we speak!" I said to myself.
I continued slowly crawling towards the exit. I had to make it out before Eli had the chance to save me or else he'd be trapped. I don't even want to know what Dr. Black's master plan is and I'm not planning on finding out.

I made it to the exit an I kicked out the vent. I was on the main floor, thank god, and I jut jumped down. Once safely on the ground I booked it to the trees and kept running. I was headed in the direction of the hideout when I heard a familiar voice. I looked all around but I couldn't see where it was coming from.
"Pssst, Lizzy, up here!" the voice whispered.
I looked up to see Trixie sitting in a tree.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"We were coming to rescue you but you made that a lot easier than I thought it would be." Trixie laughed a little.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"Pronto is in that tree over there." she said while pointing at a large tree off to the right.
"And Kord is over there." she said but this time pointed to an even bigger tree to the left.
"Where's Eli" I asked
"I'm right here." Eli said from behind me.
I turned around, jumped at him and gave him huge hug. We stayed like that until Kord appeared and cleared his throat.
"You two gonna break it up anytime soon?" Kord asked.
So we stopped hugging.
"It's great to see you all again but we aren't safe yet, we need to get out of here." I said the the gang.
"Lizzy's right, let's move." Eli said grabbing my hand as we ran.

It was dark now and we were all sitting in the living room back at the hideout. Pronto was watching tv, Kord and Trixie were playing cards, and Eli and I were just cuddling in the corner.
"What does Dr. Black want with me?" I asked Eli, a little concerned about my safety.
"I don't know Lizzy, but I'm going to find out and in the mean time, I'm going to do everything in my power to keep you safe. I can't keep having you kidnapped, it's stressful. We will find out Dr. Blacks master plan and what he's up to. We'll also find out what's going on with Aleah an the Gates Gang, together." Eli said quietly so nobody else would hear him.
"I love you" I whispered.
"I love you to Lizzy" he whispered back.
Then he kissed me and I forgot about everything else in this world and mine. But this is my world now an this is where I belong. This is both reality and fantasy. It's a dream come true. An I've realized both the good and the bad in this new world I live in. I'm no longer scared of what will happen. I'm strong and brave because finally, I woke up.
