Tad POV
Dear Edlin,
There are people outside.
They are yelling, and lots of prisoners are running everywhere.
They are running into trucks.
Edlin, this is not good. I am literally writing looking out one of the three high windows in this shack. I see guards everywhere.
People are screaming everywhere. Also people in green uniforms different from the Nazi's are running around shouting orders in a language I cannot understand.
But then they switch to German, and Yiddish.
I'm going out to see Edlin.
*stops writing and runs out this is not in the letter bc the letter never gets sent bc...*
I run out to see the people in the midst of it all running toward the trucks.
I run to the trucks because some of the prisoners look happy that they are going. I hear a command from the commandant. I turn around. He yells at me in german, and a Nazi guard grabs my hands. I scream, biting the air. A single thought comes into my mind:
Back off Barbie
The man is in his early 40's. He is more heavyweight and has a gruff expression on his face, he freaks me out. With me trying to continuously bite him, this guard cries out in pain and drops me.
I start to run.
I can see Wolfe, his sister, and Ada in the distance.
I call out to them. They are also running from the Nazi guards to the guards who are taking the people away, and they are getting closer to the exit of the camp.
Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain in my back and fall to the ground.
Stupid back!
Why can't I be stronger?
I hear Ada cry out. I can see Wolfe running back to me. But that is not the worst thing that happened to me. I am carried by the guard to a large brick building and taken inside. One of the guards says something to the others and the last thing I remember before darkness takes me in is Edlin.
I'm sorry.
Rest in peace my boy
