Chapter Two: Roommates

After Cassidy had a reasonable amount of the students in the room convinced by his and Fox's demonstration (and after he spent a good deal of time amusing them and showing off by transforming into duplicates of Lyla and Dwyer), the Gods returned to listing the rules. The very first test would be first thing the next morning, but they were told nothing further than that it would be conducted by Arion, and that he would let them know who was called into it; the classes would not necessarily involve every student. Those who weren't called were free to do as they wished, though leaving the school grounds without permission from a god was forbidden. There really didn't seem to be many rules ta all to the place.

After that came the long awaited subject of roommates. "Right!" Cass announced, pulling out a wrinkled sheet of paper from his pocket, covered in a thick and elaborate hand that looked from the blotting as if it were written with an actual quill pen. "The moment you've all been waiting for- the roommate arrangements. Rooms are on the second floor." He cleared his throat and ran a hand through his black hair once before calling out the names. "In Room One, we have Alexander Mallory, Enoch Savage, and Vincent Batherson. In Room Two, we have Mercedes Montgomery, Rose Irdvin, and Athene Nerva. Room Three is Maren Campbell, Fox Perses, and Thane Kingsley. Room Four, Megera DiMarco, Sofia Taylor, Marceline Pendergast. Room Five, Boone Atlas, Juniper Beckett, Damascus Lynch. Room Six, Emerson Somners, Cynthia Sullivan, Artemis Ariadne. Room Seven we have Vance Rosier, William Johnston, Ashton Blair. Room Eight, Lucas Azreal and Daniel Scottsfield, and in Room Nine, Prim Waldorf and Kana Lousche." The god read the names as though he were a ringmaster announcing the acts of a circus, and when he finished, he glanced around the room with a small frown. "Not all of you seem to be here yet... but oh well. If you need anything, you can come see any of us any time. Dwyer and Lyla are on the attic floor, Arion and I are in the basement. You have the rest of the day to settle in and get to know each other. Now shoo!" He waved the students away with a cat-like gesture, dismissing them to go unpack, before disappearing to discuss things with the other gods.

The second floor was only slightly less chaotically decorated than the third, with mint green wallpaper patterned with pink rosebuds, weirdly offset by the strange collection of first edition novels, battle-axes, and gas masks littering the walls. The entirety of the second floor was a square shaped hallway with a railing one could peer over to see the entrance hall below. The rooms were in numerical order, each with the letter carefully painted on in gold, with the same careful hand with which the Centre had been labelled.

The dorm rooms weren't too cramped, though it was clear they weren't intended for three people. Each was furnished with a bunk bed and a regular bed, on opposite sides of the room, three desks, and a very large wardrobe that seemed meant to be shared. The furniture all seemed as though it had been picked up in an antique shop, so no two rooms were furnished quite the same. The walls were all painted in an inoffensive shade of periwinkle.

(Feel free to break off into separate threads now! In fact, I recommend it, finding your roommates and your room. Remember, you can't be in two places at the same time so to role-play in a different thread, you have to leave the one you're in.)
