Harmony was roughly kicked to her back from behind by Mecca.

"Always stand on guard. Be aware of everything around you."

She charged toward him only to get knocked down.

Weak.

"Your stance is most important. You need to allow balance." Mecca swiftly kicked her in the stomach sending her to the ground again. "Or that'll happen."

Her arms wrapped around her stomach. "Next time can I get a warning." She choked out in annoyance.

"Warning are nonexistent here. Be prepared for whatever's to come." I watched her cautiously, rising to her feet. Mecca instructed her on ways to defend herself.

I only corrected if needed.

"How's she doing?" Vanity looked at the two ahead of us.

"I've never seen anyone more hopeless."

The girl was not much of a fighter. If it came down to an invasion she was better off hiding. Taking someone else's life has an effect on her. I'm sure she thinks I haven't noticed how she wakes up in the middle of the night in sweats dreaming about her mom and Ron.

Pathetic.

"At least she's trying." If this is trying I don't want to see what not trying is. "Kain has left he sense we only have a month, maybe less."

My jaw clenched at the already expected news.

"When she finds out-"

"She won't." The less she knew the better. Lies was all I could give to Harmony as of now. Everyone knew better then to tell her even Kain although his subtle hints were pissing me off.

"No good can come from this Alpha. Your fathers allowed the separation for a reason. Why did you have to go find her?"

She tackled Mecca to the ground sending me a proud smile.

"You are my beta not my friend. I know what I have done; I have my reasons."

"I just don't want this to back fire in your face. Your parents arrival is soon. How do you think they'll feel about seeing her it's-"

"Leave."

"What happens when she touches you for to long or stands near you for a period of time? We both know-"

"Leave now."

He gave me a look, sympathy written. He turned his back looking over his shoulder at me. "An angel and a demon fell in love." He glanced toward Harmony . "It didn't end well."

He walked away tending to his duties.

I knew the prophecy. Being reminded of it every single day only made it seem closer than it need be.

"Did you see? I think I can get the hang of this fighting stuff." She smiled standing in front of me. "Something wrong?"

"The pro-"

"Alpha." Mecca called.

I almost forgot who I was speaking with. "Nothing. Aiden has been asking for you."

Her eyes darted from to Mecca then back to me. "That's it."

I nodded. "For today."

She shrugged walking into the house. "You were going to tell her." Mecca stated.

"She's oblivious to anything." A bristle in the trees caught my attention. "You all can come out."
