Xander

Her hair twisted around in an nest like it usually does after she's awaken. A slight pout sat on her lips as she realized she was alone.

Just like every morning she'll go downstairs make a double chocolate chip pancake, bacon that's nearly burnt, and eggs. Although she won't eat them. To her there just could not be a breakfast without eggs.

I wander when she will leave.

This life is not her world. Shattering what's left of her soul or breaking down any confidants she has wont do.

Something about her. Not physically but mentally. Something about the girl was strong.

I'd never speak this aloud.

She is strong, but not in the way most people think. She loves more than she'll ever get back and she knows it, yet she loves anyway.

When she needed me I wasn't around. I was unable to kiss the scars that laid on her wrist that she thinks I failed to notice.

So many times in need of a prince, all I could ever be was the villain.

The real reason behind all of her suffering.

My biggest fear is eventually she'll see me the way I see myself.

"How do you see yourself?"

I turned off the cameras. Turning to London. "I'm destruction. Nothing next to me can blossom without it disintegrating."

"She's your mate-"

I slammed my fist on the desk. "If she's my mate why do I feel like I'm being cursed. Light and darkness cannot be together."

Regaining my composure, lowering my voice. "If I remove the chains that's keeping her here. If I give her an choice to leave. Can you assure me she won't take it?"

She stayed silent.

"I failed to protect your sister. Harmony is no different. The prophecy says all. Even if she was to stay it'd only end worse than it started."

Her slender fingers clung onto mine. "Jewels loved you. More than her own mate. She knew the risk of escaping-"

"I was suppose to protect her." Pain guarded my body when the images invaded me.

"Shut up Xander." She dropped my hand in aggravation. "You are not some monster. I don't care what the prophecy says or what front your trying to put on. You want us all to lie to her about everything, I'm through lying."

"You named her Moon for a reason."

I grabbed fist of my hair, looking down.

"Harmony is the moon. She will always have light in her." London intertwine our hands, causing me to look up at her. "No matter how dark it maybe."

She sat across from me pulling out an envelope. "Jewels gave me this the night before she was going to escape. It's to you." She placed the vanilla envelope on my desk, standing to leave. "To Jewels you were a mystery, a risk, and the most closet thing she'd ever known to home." Her eyes began to water. "Even when her own home turned against her."
