My alarm clock blared throughout my bedroom causing a groan to escape from my lips. I could feel the bags under my eyes prominent. Thanks to 'G', I couldn't get any sleep at all last night.
I lazily sat up and grabbed my uniform. I headed to the shower and freshened myself up. Once I finished, I dabbed some concealer on in attempt to look less tired. But, the odds weren't in favor for me this morning.
I quickly grabbed a protein bar and brushed my teeth afterwards. I looked at the folded piece of paper on my night table hesitating before grabbing it and stuffing it in my purse. I lock the apartment before heading out to the bus stop.
I climb on the bus and find him looking out the window. Once I make my way to my seat, his nose is already in his leather brown book. I was hesitant in whether or not to spark up a conversation.
I decided I would take my chances and not risk him not being here in the afternoon. "Excuse me, sir?" I called out gently. He didn't even budge, not even a single glance.
"Um, G?" I asked nervously. His head slowly turned to my direction with a hard stare. I took out the paper from my purse and unfolded it.
"Do you happen to know anything about this?" I asked jumping as the flyer was instantly snatched out of my grasp.
"Where did you find this?" He said lowly.
"I was walking to my apartment and I found it on my way there." I said slightly nervous.
"Do you know anything about him?" He asked revealing his dull, lifeless eyes. I slowly shook my head no.
He sighed and covered his face in his hands. "The thing is I don't either.." He trailed off.
I looked down to the floor and couldn't help but feel remorse. I regret having taken the flyer and putting him in a glumful mood. "I-" I opened my mouth but found his seat empty. That was until an object appeared to stand out on the rustic seat. His leather brown book...
I grab it instantly in hopes he shows up to look for it. However I can't help but feel the need to perhaps take a peek into it... No, that would be very wrong of you Rachel. That is considered to be an invasion of privacy, shame on you for thinking that.
But, I can't help but wonder what 'G' is so deeply invested in when he is writing in this book. I slid it into my purse and walked out of the bus. I headed into my office and started filing folders and papers as usual.
Every once and a while, I would often glance at my purse. My fingertips itched to see what he had in that leather brown book of his. I snapped myself out of the distraction the book was causing and focused back on work.
No crazy patients today either..Which made me wonder, when I was going to be able to start dealing with patients instead of working in this tiny little office..
Cutting it off short again, so double update just to recompensate for my absence. As well as an attempt to spice up the story. I'm not trying to go too slow but not to fast either.
What do you think is in G's book?
Do you think Rachel will be able to get the patient she desires to cure?
I hope you guys enjoyed it☺ ily💕
