I look at her, for the first time in years, my mother sits in front of me. Dad stands by the door looking uncomfortable, couldn't blame him. She just showed up with a cigirate in hand. Her hair was greasy looking and she had a big smile on her face. A man with long hair sits next to her his arm draped around her. He has an ignorant look to him, had bad news all over him. Why the fuck was she here? After so many years now she bothers to show up, with him? Simon and Zayn sit next to me across from them. I knew we all were thinking the same thing. Haylee was standing behind me her hand laying on my shoulder. Which was probably the only thing keeping me calm. Smoke hits me in the face burning my nose. I smack it away and frown at the man who now holds the cigirate. He just gives me a sly grin and blows out more smoke.
" So Linn it's nice to see you."
Dad starts the conversation. Giving her a forced smile trying to be polite. Linn flashes him her yellow teeth. She shakes out ashes onto the floor and crosses her legs.
" Well thank you Dave I-" 
" Why the hell are you here?" She snaps her head back at me glaring.
" Oh Austin I see you're still well do I even need to say?"
" Oh well I see you're still the same old bitch you use to be." "Hey look why don't we all get along alright? How are you Mom?"
She looks back at Simon and smiles. I roll my eyes, why the hell should we care about how she Is? I just wanted her the fuck out of here.
" Oh I'm great, I  live in a nice two bedroom house and I got an amazing job."
" That's great to hear, who's your friend?"
" Oh this is my boyfriend Will."
" Oh great another one of you're man whores."
" Excuse me-"
" Oh don't mind him honey he doesn't matter."
Haylee digs her fingers into my shoulder. I quickly reach up and grab her hand before she can say anything. Linn' s eyes follow my hand. She looks up at Haylee with a nasty grin. I feel my blood begin to boil.
" Hey Dave is Haylee here?"
She looks away and we all look up to see Claire walk in. Claire stops when she sees Linn and Will sitting on the couch. Claire and Linn had never liked each other. Linn use to bully her when they we're in school. She always treated her like shit even after school. Claire always had put up with her though.
" Oh I didn't know you had company."
" Oh please come on in Claire it's been so long. Will this is the one I was talking to you about."
He looks up at her and laughs.
" So this is the bitch you told me about?"
Linn laughs nodding her head. Claire frowns but ignores the statement.
" It's wonderful to see you again Linn? Why are you here?"
" Oh I just thought I'd stop by you know and get some of my stuff that I left here." 
" What stuff we threw it all away." I laugh and she just stares at me coldly. Will starts to frown at me now. Dad laughs nervously and turns to Claire.
" Why don't you stop by later."
" Oh no she can stay I want to talk to her."
" I think I really should be going."
" No, no stay how are you?"
" I'm good thank you."
" How are you and Dave? You too still together?"
" Um we broke up years ago Linn."
Dad and Claire nervously say, she laughs and takes the cigirate out of Will's hand.
" Finally you realized what a skank she is Dave! Well if you two aren't together then why are you here?"
  " Linn she is not a skank and even though we are not together anymore we're still friends."
" Dave how much longer will it take for you to see her for who she is? She's only bringing you down!"
  " Well you're the one to talk huh?" 
We all look at Claire surprised. Shit go Claire! Finally she's defending herself. I hear Haylee giggle quietly making me laugh. Zayn has to muffle the sound of his own laugh. Linn's face turns red and she squeezes her hands into a fist. Will stands up and walks over to Claire pushing dad away. He gets up in her face pointing at her. Haylee starts to move but I stand up grabing her arm. 
  " What did you say about my girlfriend you little bitch?"
  " Will please back up."
" No this bitch needs to watch the way she speaks to my girl!"
" Linn tell you're boyfriend to stop."
" Hm idk Dave I'm enjoying this!"
" You both need to get the fuck out!"
They turn and looks at me. Linn walks up to me until she's right in my face. She blows smoke into my face making me growl at her.
" Why don't you stay out of this."
Haylee breaks away from my grasp and shoves me back. She stands face to face with Linn who is taken back by Haylee's sudden act.
  " I think it's time for you two to leave! Get you're nasty ass out of this house now and while you're at it go run to that pig of a brother of yours. Maybe you all can keep each other company."
She takes a step back practically foaming out the mouth. She growls at Haylee but doesn't say a word. She walks over and grabs Will by the arm.
" Let's go these people aren't worth our time."
She walks out, but Will stays where he is. He glares at us for a moment but then he too walks out shortly after. We all stare at each other silently. Our family was a mess that was for sure. I was glad she was finally gone but I knew she'd be back. Her stopping by means she wants something and she won't stop until she gets it. My mother was everything bad in life and she was hard to get rid of. Haylee grips my hand and I look at her. She really had an attitude didn't she? Came to the rescue again, my hero. I kiss the top of her head and we share a look. God I loved this women.
" So now that the bitch is gone who's hungry?"
" I am! I say we have taco bell. I'll meet you guys in the car!" Zayn runs out the door making us all laugh. Simon runs out after him and Haylee drags me to the door.
"Guess we're going to Taco Bell."
" The hard part isn't over yet."  Dad says it quietly so only Claire and I can hear. I look at him and nod. He gives us a small sad smile and grabs the keys.
" Yeah we know but we can deal with her. For now let's just enjoy our time."
They both nod and walk out. Haylee looks up at me and I nod at her. I squeeze her hand and let her walk out before me. Everything would be fine right?
